This is from poster LePip from realcavsfans.com: It's so funny I had to repost is:

We must thank this man

For finding this coach and putting together this pathetic group of players to play for the 2002-2003 Cleveland Cavaliers.. I won't include Z out of my new found respect for the Big Man..

That 17-65 juggernaut put together by "PAX" lead to the greatest day in the history of this organization..

Mr. Paxson. Thank You, you idiot !!!!!

Funny and it's the truth. Had we won more games and been more competitive and competent, LBJ never would have been ours.

This is a good article along the same lines:

To reach the place where you got to watch Le Bron James at his magnificent best Wednesday night, to finally clinch a playoff spot after eight years, the dues this city paid were no small change.

This night was about James paying back Cleveland for what happened before him and in the first two years with him.

It's not an even deal yet. But during certain moments against Dallas, when James scored 46 points while taking more hard hits than Ali did in all three fights with Frazier, nobody was qui <script src="http://ads.cleveland.com/RealMedia/ads/adstream_jx.ads/www.cleveland.com/xml/story/s1/s1bud/@StoryAd" language="JavaScript1.1"></script><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="420"> <tbody><tr valign="bottom"> </tr></tbody></table> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="420"> <tbody><tr> <td align="center" bgcolor="#e7efef" width="410"> </td> <td width="10"> </td> </tr> <tr> </tr></tbody></table>http://ads12.udc.advance.net/RealMe.../34343438363537623434323661383230?_RM_EMPTY_&<script language="JavaScript"> <!-- if (parseFloat(navigator.appVersion) == 0) { document.write('<IFRAME WIDTH=468 HEIGHT=60 MARGINWIDTH=0 MARGINHEIGHT=0 HSPACE=0 VSPACE=0 FRAMEBORDER=0 SCROLLING=no BORDERCOLOR=\\"#000000\\" SRC="http://ads.cleveland.com/RealMedia/ads/adstream_sx.ads/www.cleveland.com/xml/story/s1/s1bud/@StoryAd"></IFRAME>'); } --></script>"It's been a slow process," James said of the three-year grind.

Differentiating it from the years before he arrived in the draft, it's been slow but at least entertaining.

Would you take James preparing for his first playoff season at age 21 and for the forseeable future if it meant somewhere down the line you had to suffer another seven seasons of broken-mirror basketball?

You bet you would. You'd say, "Thank you, devil, may I have another Jim Paxson draft."

There is no glossing how bad it was. You didn't just get eight years of drought. You got desert drought. The plans of Mike Fratello, Randy Wittman, John Lucas, Keith Smart, Paul Silas and Brendan Malone all gone to dust.

You saw Wayne Embry fired and replaced by Paxson. You watched Paxson fired and replaced by Danny Ferry, but not in time to save you from the drafting of Trajan Langdon and DeSagana Diop.

You discovered that Reuben Boumjte Boumjte is not an exotic deli sandwich.
