The San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans know that all too well as two of the league's worst teams square off at Adelphia Coliseum.

Though only Houston (1-9) has a worse record than Tennessee, San Francisco, New Orleans and the New York Jets, the Titans and Niners have specialized in excruciating defeats.

Tennessee has lost five straight, but each of those defeats has come by 10 points or fewer, including last Sunday's 31-28 setback to Jacksonville -- the Titans' fourth straight home loss. Tennessee also lost by four points at St. Louis on Sept. 25.

I think we can pull this one out even though we are on the road. I still dont know if Dorsey or Smith is starting, probably most likely Dorsey. I think we can put up some points on these guys.

San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers signed kicker Jose Cortez on Friday after Joe Nedney developed a groin injury in practice. The 49ers waived fourth-string quarterback Jesse Palmer to make room for Cortez's return to San Francisco, where he played from 2001-02.

The 49ers aren't certain whether Nedney will be able to kick in Sunday's game at Tennessee, where the veteran kicker played from 2001-04.

Palmer, the New York Giants' longtime backup QB, never got into a game in San Francisco after signing with the club on Nov. 1.

We had a chance, we were up by 5 during the half. But McNair caught fire during the 3rd and pretty much put us away. We probably wouldve won if we were healthy, but oh well, we put up an effort.

We have Arizona next week, should be a winnable game, but lets be honest, at this point we're playing for a draft pick.
