• The Knicks need to come out, hang close and see if Cleveland is sleepwalking. New York should come out focused because if Cleveland takes this game for granted, lightning could strike twice.

• Jamal Crawford needs to light it up again. He’s a Cavs killer and if his jumper is on, a 30 point outting is very possible.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS’ NOTES

• Come out angry, seeking to pounce on New York from the jump. Cleveland doesn’t want to disappoint the homecrowd with a lackluster effort. Take care of business so that the crowd will have something to cheer for.

• Play clean basketball to reduce New York’s cheap points. The Cavaliers need to make New York beat them and not self-destruct, handing the Knicks the win via default.

OVERVIEW

The Cavaliers will probably enter this game with weary legs, playing the Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back. Down the stretch of the schedule, the Cavaliers will have to deal with this scenario again. Whether LeBron James is able to play or not is the most important issue. If James can’t give it a go, after coming off a huge blowout lose to the Pistons, the Cavaliers are at great risk of dropping this game as well.

If Lebron's injured at all, we should hold him out. The Cavs will almost certainly lose if he doesn't play, though we have a shot since it's a home game.

50 wins is nice but not worth injuring the King.

I agree, as much as it would be great to finally get a win against New York this year, sitting Lebron is more important. Without him we will have trouble pulling this one out but we have already clinched playoffs and homecourt there's no reason to push for 50 wins just so LBJ can get MVP he has many years ahead of him to get the award.

The game is tied at 16 after the first quarter. With LeBron sitting this one out, the rest of the guys need to step up their game. Hughes is daring with some of his passes, especially when he became the default PG down the stretch but had some nice ideas. I can appreciate his ambition.

Cleveland leads by four points at halftime (41-37). It's good to see Cleveland be competitive without LeBron James and able to withstand Nate Robinson's offensive barrage.

The Cavs closed the quarter on a 6-0 run.
