ABOUT THE CELTICS: Boston likes to push the pace and score in transition, and the Celtics are not afraid to launch from the three-point line. Coach Brad Stevens has elected to go with Isaiah Thomas as the starter while point guard Marcus Smart is out with a toe injury. Evan Turner is coming off the bench, after he started 57 of 82 games last season. Stevens already has made a few lineup changes, inserting Jared Sullinger for David Lee and Amir Johnson for Tyler Zeller.
