If both teams play as they did in their last games, the announcers will have alot of air time to fill. I wouldn't be surprised if SLU has a bit of a letdown and to see UD play tougher on the boards, but I would go with the home team.
I just can't imagine SLU can sustain the intensity they had against Butler. I think they win, but this is a very dangerous game for them, especially because Dillard is not likely to be rattled by ball pressure.
Have you even watched Dayton this year? The gameplan is out for how to play against Dayton. When UD attempts to set a pick, you double Dillard at the top with a big, he runs in a backward circle and attempts to reset the offense. He hasn't figured a consistent way of getting around that pick/hedge. Then he waits until 8 on the clock, and throws up some off balance prayer or passes it to the opponent and then he complains to the refs.
I'd like to hope this is a trap game for Saint Louis, with little pathetic Dayton coming in, and Dayton pulling the upset. Unfortunately, unless Dayton is hitting on all cylinders, by all players (and coaches), I'm not sure what will occur.
UD has one road win all season. Only Fordham has fewer. And UD has just two Top-100 wins all season and its two only because Murray State squeaks in at #99.
Nothing to see here, folks. SLU takes care of business.
Price is doubtful, apparently aggravating his thigh injury in the X game. That's a big loss. It was already going to probably take the best effort of the season to win.
The good news for the Flyers is that I picked SLU in the lock of the day contest today. With my track record this season, Dayton is likely to win outright.
13 - 3 Muddy? How's that turning out for your second favorite team (after X of course)? Probably about as good as your prediction on X this year, no? :mrt:
Jordair Jett dominated this game despite playing just 19 minutes. 11 points on 4-6 FG, 3 for 3 from the line, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover.
I doubt we could have beaten your walkons today. I'm glad I slept through this one.
