Game Thread: Game #67(?): Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons

Well no game thread for the hawks game. Here is a makeshift one for the heat game tonight until lope or someone else gets on it.

Miami has been talkin alot of smack lately and have been on quite a roll.
Detroit has been playing poorly of late against poor oponents. I remember reading that they had been talking about the miami game before the hawks game. Perhaps they are going to ratchet it up again tonight.

Prediction - Pistons 98 Heat 93, Pistons hit ft's down the stretch to seal the deal.

I haven't seen the Pistons play since the Cleveland game right after the all-star break. Looking forward to this one.

i feel you man. same thing for the Heat vs. poor opponents.

And maybe The Heat were talking about the Pistons game as well cuz they forgot to show up last night vs the Wolves and lost. LOL

Maybe my team can finally get hyped for playing the best team in the NBA.

Heres to a good game fellas`
Well after a string of completely uninteresting games we finally get a good one. It will be nice to finally have our best defender out there on Wade. Hopefully Flip realizes this and gives Lindsey some good minutes. As always as long as we can limit one of the big two to a good game we have a good chance of winning the game. Of course we have to bring some effort something we haven't done in awhile.
It is hard for me to enjoy games like the game tonight. There is so much tension inside, unless it is a blow out. Then I am either pissed as hell, or very satified lol.

agreed, same thing here in Miami, haha!
i guess it safe to say that both the Heat and Pistons have been on cruise-control for awhile.

wtf?

wait, this isnt another game thread right?

anyways, the odds are against the Heat...very lopsided odds. lol
Like I posted on the Heat forum, the key for Miami to win is too stop Sheed, and prey that Ben isn't feeling it on the block if Shaq is out.

Yep very frustrating teams like Knicks and Twolves beating us.. I feel u man

If Shaqs out it doesnt bode well for the Heat, but you never can tell with the Pistons these days.
I cant begin to tell you how psyched up I am about this game.
Hopefully we will see some great basketball.

I am surprised that Detroit has not tried to attack Shaq more.
Oh, and I am back baby! I just cant tell you how good it feels to see a Detroit game live again  .
Sloppy pass by Billups...is it just me or has Prince gone through some sort of shooting slump lately?
End of first quarter...21-19 Miami.
What can we expect from the second quarter? Will Detroit try to establish more of a inside presence with Shaq on the bench?
Will Ben get some more touches? Will Wade turn it on?
Oh my God. Is this how we always play?

70% of our offensive possessions never get below the free throw line. This 3-ball bull**** is maddening.

We get nothing easy, nothing going to the basket, no opportunities to get fouled....
Billups for 3, 32-29 Miami.
Morning is apparantly out for the game, too bad -it would have been alot better to have him on the floor along with shaq as we pull away in the fourth quarter  .

I totally agree, i expected Detroit to go inside and try to establish some presence/get Shaq in foul problem as Morning is out.

Good shot Prince!
Hey! There's that fouling Shaq's elbow with your face foul we all know and love.

This team has a 3-pointing problem.
