Man i was dissapointed with the Raps performance when Milly came to town last time. I look for a revenge game. I wan't plenty of Donyell down low. I hope Mo is on tonight, we can use his 3balls to drop against this quicker team.

i've heard people (jack armstrong, eric smith, fans) say that although the raptors are struggling, fans/players should be happy with where toronto currently sits in the standings. it's always the same argument: they were pegged to be a 42-win team before the year started and that's exactly where they stand now. like, "be happy!"

i personally can't be 'happy' with what we're seeing. i don't think 42-wins is this team's ceiling- and this year's milwaukee bucks are a good reason why. i mean, why can't the raptors overachieve like milwaukee? is someone going to contend that they're more "talented" than us? why are we FIGHTING with milwaukee for a playoff spot? i don't care where we were supposed to finish before the season; that's always an irrelevant consideration (imo). overachievers happen, and we should NOT satisfice for the status quo.

why can't we exceed expectations like this year's bucks or jazz, or the pistons or nets of 2001-02? why can't we be one of those surprises? why can we only be a surprise of the negative variety (like last season's)?

i'm sorry. i think tonight's game may show us what it really means to stop paying attention to where we're supposed to be, and instead start focusing on where we CAN be. terry porter has his team concentrating on the latter, while kevin o'neill appears to have our team worried about the former. sure, i don't know if coaching is the only factor that can be held to explain performance, but it's a definite starting point in my world. it must be some kind of a contributor, anyway- although i'm sure there are many others.

being stuck in mediocrity is bad enough. being happy in mediocrity is the absolute worst. any team can overachieve in this league- ANY team. the bucks believe it; why can't the raptors?

peace

out coached? how are we going to be out coached by terry porter? it's more like we'll be simpley out played by micheal redd and the bucks.

Bosh will have a hiuge game... all depends on who is guarding him though... if Joe Smith is guarding him bosh will have some trouble but if any other buck is then they are gonna be in for al long night
