There's no indication that Garnett has yet to be consulted about waiving his no-trade clause for such a possible deal, sources tell Y!
lol. Who's going to coach the Celtics? Ainge? Please let this happen. Give Boston 7 first round picks for all I care.
So I'd love to see them try to win with that core, but they will have to distribute the minutes super-carefully during the regular season if they hope to have even 4 out of the 5 of them healthy for the playoffs.
Its not a terrible deal. Its the best they can hope for right now because they are not gonna get anyone else.Maybe 2 years let out of KG and Pierce. That Russian would be crazy to make a deal.
ExactlyGood move for the Nets, honestly. They're not going to have a better chance at a title with the roster they have now. Might as well give it a shot.
No, because Wallace has 3/30 remaining the Celtics rejected any '13 picks. The deal is allegedly the '14 pick plus '16 & '18. And since the deal would be consummated tonight all three picks will need to be conveyed within six years, so those '16 & '18 picks could be gold.I'm almost certain, however, that the picks are 22 and 26 this year plus that 2015 first that Atlanta can swap with. In other words, no thanks.
Celtics and Nets continue to make significant progress on parameters of a Garnett-Pierce deal, sources in talks tell Y! Sports.
For Boston to get Garnett to agree to waive his no trade, it takes a unique circumstance: Moving with Pierce to a big market might be it.
Boston had raised the Garnett-Pierce package with a Western Conference team, but very few places, if any, would go all-in like Nets on this.
