According to the Miami Herald, this will most likely happen

Point guard Gerald Fitch was in the Heat practice facility Thursday and likely will be signed, and guard Matt Walsh likely will be waived. Fitch's signing is due to Williams' injury, which the team believes will keep him out three games. Walsh, who is due about half his annual salary, could be re-signed once Williams is healthy.
