EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants will be without starting right defensive tackle William Joseph for about a month.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin confirmed on Monday that Joseph will be sidelined for "probably four weeks" with a dislocated right elbow. Joseph suffered the injury in Sunday's 24-21 loss to Minnesota.

"It's a shame because William was playing very well for us," Coughlin said.

Veteran Fred Robbins, who was rotating at both defensive tackle spots with starters Kendrick Clancy and Joseph, will likely start at right tackle in Joseph's absence.

Joseph had 19 tackles and two sacks in nine games this season.

A first-round pick out of Miami in 2003, Joseph played in 14 games as a rookie with no starts. He had six tackles and a sack in his first NFL game against St. Louis. Last year, he started four of 15 games and recorded 25 tackles and two sacks.

Hopefully William Joseph gets better as soon as possible, we could always use a DT like him. He did a good job in the games I watched and went to. He is a big body and can play the game well. Get well as soon as possible.
