First of all, I dislike the Lakers. I hate Shaq's game, Kobe's persona, etc... but as a team, they are far and away the best in the world.

I had this pipe dream that the Kings could knock them off and go to the finals. I was hoping for it... but alas, they dashed my hopes.

Kudos to Shaq who was awesome. A pat on the back also to Mike Bibby who has really established himself as a clutch player in this series an, even moreso than Webber, the Kings go-to guy.

Christie's and Stojakovic's 3's were the ugliest attempts of the game. Where was their minds as they shot. Obviously not on the task at hand. If just one of them dropped....

Or if Sac had amde free throws...

Or if the Lakers weren't so good...

There's always next season, because I can't see NJ even getting close

Maybe the Nets will win a game, but one would be hard pressed to think this is going to be a series. Shaq will dominate the nets center. Kittles can't guard Kobe, but at least Kittles makes an attempt to shoot when he's open.

Kenyon might score some on Horry. I expect a "yawner" - as usual in the finals. The best finals were in the 80s when nobody knew who was going to win. Since then, it is one on one with Mike and Rodman who was never afraid of anybody, and now it is be like Mike, and dominating ShaqMaster.

surprises are possible...i mean, let's not forget that no one on the nets was supposed to be able to stop paul pierce and antoine walker.

plus, anyways, i'm a nets fan. gotta believe in my team. :D
You bet you have to support your favorite team! One thing the nets did prove and that was their gm/exec made the trade of the year last year! Jason Kidd is a leader and you're right, nobody gave them a chance to even make the playoffs, let alone get into the finals!

So, who knows what will happen! One thing, Jason does make it more interesting than a Derek Fisher at the point position!

That is great for you. Have you been able to get to any of the Nets games this year? I've seen Kidd in person and he is one heck of a player, that's for sure.

Naturally, I wish he had stayed in Dallas, the closest team to me now....but he is making the Nets into the team they once were when the great Doctor "J" was there.

I guess I'll have to go over to your Nets forum - but that means you'll have to return the visit to my Mavericks forum. :D

well, because i go to school in new york, i didn't have the opportunity to see the nets play this year, but i can't wait until the 2002-2003 season begins! i'm hoping to go to a game or two during my winter break from school.

by the way, i'll be sure to check out your mavs board.

Good! I'll be glad to see you at the Mavericks forum.

I hope you do get to see Jason in person, as seeing them in person is so much better. One is at the mercy of the camera when it comes to TV, but in person you can see the plays develop so much better.

Jason is awesome in person!

LOL! That's the way it goes when a team is exciting and building! You get to see them in the finals and you get to watch the draft and see if any draft day trade goes down, and then all summer to see if they sign another FA to improve the team! The NBA is fun and it is really fun when your team is doing well!

I'm looking forward to the draft & also watching to see if the Mavericks (knowing Cuban - that's almost a sure thing!!! lol!) improve over the summer, plus a couple other teams that I enjoy watching, too.
