Green Dunk

Usually I don't get too excited about dunks. But since Toronto was crying about Greens first dunk it was fun to see him do another. Plus our season is about over so some fluff is fine by me.

Anyway - for those that missed it the other night - here it is:

That was pretty amazing. Windmill dunks, at that height and force, are near impossible.
i believe tommy said the toronto announcer was complaining about this dunk too...get a life its not our fault that your team sucks lol

I mean Gerald doesn't have a mean streak and he's not strutting around like he's king, the kid is just having fun....they need to back off. Great dunk.

He was complaining the first time he did it, not the second time

I'm fine with this dunk cause the game was still within' reach for the Raptors

I think if those guys had watched GG play any prior to that game they would see exactly what you are saying. He's a kid living out his dream and it shows. You can tell he's having fun on the floor and those dunks are not an attempt to show anyone up, he's just blowing off some excess enthusiasm :)

On a slightly different subject, I've been impressed with how quickly he seems to adapt. He's still very raw, but his defense has made significant strides and the guy can just flat score! He seems very willing to try to learn and improve and if he keeps that attitude the skys the limit for this guy.
gerald green, the next tmac without the back problem
I can't see how any announcer would have a problem with him dunking like that. Last year he was picking out a tux for the prom at this time. Since then, he went from a projected number 3 pick to the number 18 pick. He spent the first third of the season on the bench, the second third shuttling back and forth between the NBDL and here and now he's getting some minutes that are meaningful and for a kid out of high school he is doing VERY well.

Let him have his fun. Tony Allen would've made the same dunk if he was on the receiving end. Pierce would've too if he had ups like that.

Tony Allen would have done a dunk 10x better than that.

And I always thought that Green was projected to go in like, the top 10 in the draft or something. All I can remember was sitting in my cheap hotel room and watching the draft on a tiny, TINY TV and the announcers saying how amazing it was that Green was still on the board.

hmmm...if i had ups like that i wouldve made the same dunk too
This kid is going to be a terrific player when it's all said and done and he has a very likable personality, it's refreshing to see a kid who hasn't let it all go to his head.

If I had a trampoline I probably would have tried a dunk like that and bricked it
