GM Glen Grunwald was thoroughly disappointed by the defeat at the hands of the sad-sack Bulls. He stated to new Coach Kevin O'Neill that "major" changes are coming with the looming trading deadline.

According to team sources, Grunwald has had "serious" talks with Orlando about obtaining Juwan Howard among others but other options are being explored. These same sources claim that a deal (or deals) is/are in the works, hoping to alleviate the frontcourt problems of the Raptors. And even though stories have surfaced last week that the Raptors are interested in the semi-retired Charles Oakley, Grunwald would prefer to make a trade to bulk up their weak frontline.

It's been known that Tom Gugliotta (Suns), Melvin Ely (Clippers), Brendan Haywood (Wizards), Michael Doleac and Kurt Thomas (Knicks) are available and may be on the Raptors shopping list.

we'd do better just adjusting and developing the players we have now.

I hope so.. i cant even stand to watch this team someeimtses just because of there lack of intensity and hart on the court.. the bench is like a bunch of zombies during the game... and it doesn't even seem like they care if they win or lose

veterans do not need "developing". they go out there do their job to play a maximum of 48 minutes per game and get their multi-million dollar check. the raptors have no heart, no effort, nothing. i might as well be watching the nbdl, because at this point its more entertaining than the pathetic raptors. shame, shame. there needs to be an attitute change, and if that's through a trade, then so be it.

Juwan is exactly what they don't need. Kurt Thomas is a much better fit to fix whats wrong. Tough, proud defender and rebounder who can score a little too. Doleac would be a useful bench player, but really, how much of an upgrade over Archibald? Not enough to change the teams fortunes...

I would love to get Haywood, but I'm not sure KO or the team has the patience for him. Still 24, he is a force inside, taking hard and going to the stripe, cleaning the offensive glass and blocking shots. Plus a true big man. Turnovers galore, and not the consistent defender that KO seems to insist upon...

Gugs- way over the hill. Ely - a wider Moisio.
