Answer: Because they act so arrogant about being a winning team this year...they haven't been a winning team in god knows how long...then they get Kidd, and they think they're so great, when in actuality, they aren't, b/c Kidd is the only person that is doing anything. They had the same team last year, basically, add in a few pieces, and now they're good...it seems kinda strange that they're good now that they got Kidd...so, that's why I think people hate the Nets...also, because they get alot of attention now...me, being a Knicks fan, hate it because Knicks don't get any attention anymore...

ok, i really aprreciate that you didn't completely dog the nets in that answer. well, anyways, i think a lot of teams get that way when they get a star player and are suddenly good. look at the bulls during the jordan days. look at lakers with kobe. even th celts are arrogant with pierce and walker. why can't the nets (and nets fans) be proud of what they have now?

Sure Kidd has a lot to do with it but I think the main reason they're good this year is they're healthy.Kittles,Van Horn and Martin played a whole season together for the first time. They probably would've ben a decent team last year with Marbury if they were as healthy (but not nearly as good as with Kidd). Also,it's not arrogance it's swagger. They feel like they can't be beat with Jason Kidd leading them.

i agree with you bruno - about the health thing and about the non-arrogance. i don't think the nets are arrogant. i think they're actually modest when they talk about themselves. the celts were way more arrogant than the nets.
