Think about it, at the start of the season Jarvis hayes was doing really well, then aftre Gil got injured he started slumping. Coincidence? Maybe but maybe there isn't something gil does that makes jarvis a whole lot better.

I noticed that Jarvis does better when he plays off the bench.

actually, it has nothing to do with it. a lot of people have great starts(iverson, murray, kwame) and then just don't do as well the rest of the season. he was a good offensive 2nd or 3rd choice, but now he hasn't been much of an offensive choice at all, even though EJ keeps him in forever and at the end of games.

I noticed that Jarvis does better when he plays off the bench.
that's because he takes less shots off the bench.
