Man this sucks. Not because he was so huge for us, but because he was playing like a man possed, and we could have easly gotten him a title. Doleac:.....we need you buddy.

This kind of stuff breaks my heart. Zo just can't catch a break...

I came into this thread expecting you to provide a link saying he'd be out for several months.

We already knew about the injury.

Last night it was a strain, now its a tare, I find that pretty big. But I really hope he'll be back for the playoffs.
*sigh*

I.....am.........really...........pissed........off!

why us?

why zo?

This is why i didnt want Doleac traded, we still have a descent backup center. maybe Doleac doesnt have as much impact as Zo, but overall hes done good for this team (like last season before Zo came on board)

This news kills me. Zo has always been one of my favorite players and his impact in games will be greatly missed. I wish him a speedy recovery.

It was actually confirmed to be a tear late last night, but yeah... It's disheartening.

But I think this will make the team get after it harder on defense so that they won't have to rely on Zo so much when he does comeback (which is hopefully by the second round of the playoffs).

MRI revealed it to only be a partial tear; thank the Gods he won't need surgery. He should be back before the playoffs begin or during the 1st round at the worst

Phew, thats a load off.
Still bad news. I'm sorry for you guys and Alonzo. He's been awesome. I hope he gets well and starts playing like he leftoff for you guys in the playoffs.
It completely put a dagger in my spine when I heard news of Zo having that season-ending injury. This athlete is the only measure of decent defense we have on this team (oh and Shandon) and he was taken down by the bull of a calf on his right leg. Doleac is decent but we need a shotblocker (aggressor) who can deter players from laying up in the paint or come anywhere near the key. Chances are Barron will be activated and can contribute something more, that Doleac cannot.
The pain of thinking about Doleac on the floor for more than a minute a game pains me...............................................................

yea...shaqs going to take a lot of time off also, so Doleac is going to be getting probably 23 minutes a game (shaq at 25). I hope Barron gets some of those however
yes barron should get some action. i think this guy can really contribute if Doleac has a bad game for example
give Simien minutes....I don't care if it means we go very small inside....**** Haslem played a little 5 for us a few years ago, just keep DOHleac off the floor as much as possible
Unbelievable. This team will never catch a break. Last year Shaq goes down, down the stretch. Now Alonzo. I can't even ****ing believe it. :nonono:
Man you guys are unlucky son of a guns man that sux....
It's good that this is only a partial tear, but I hope this injury isn't nagging like Shaq's thigh bruise last year. Zo needs all of his athletic ability to get up there and block shots.
Zo to be out 2-4 weeks. The good news is there's a good chance he'll be ready to go for the playoffs.
atleast he'll be rested. this should also teach the rest of our team how to really play defense.
