It's a national network included in every cable package there is. It has replaced NBC Sports Network and has NBC's equipment & resources. Hockey, Soccer, WWE, and now A10 basketball, among other conferences.

Much better to be on USA than being on ESPN 8, 9, or 10

Now hold on a minute there. If ESPN 8 ("The Ocho") is good enough for Dodgeball, it's good enough for me.

I stand by my feeling that the conference being broadcast on USA Network makes the conference look small time by comparison to some of its supposed peers in the AAC, MWC who have their own networks and/or entire tournaments broadcast on sports centric networks. I dont watch the show but why in the hell does it matter that USA Network sometimes airs Law & Order?

... the network that brings you 'the Equalizer', where you can watch an overweight Queen Latifah kick and jab like Bruce Lee.

Pillow fight day should be broadcast tape-delay on the Hallmark Channel.

We'll see how this USA business plays out. NBC sports department moved a lot of coverage over there, but unless that network really becomes sports centric, it doesn't register as well in appearance. I hope they do, there's basketball, racing, golf. But with NBC as parent I wouldn't trust that it isn't all on stream OD Peacock within a couple/few years.

ESPN+ just plain sucks. It's palatable to watch something if you absolutely have to, but I don't know where it's headed with no improvements in 3 years. Hey, they conned the Big 12 into "broadcasting" a weekly showcase on it so, well, shame on the Big 12.

Excuse me, but "Pillow Fight of the Week" is an "official" part of college football that UMass gets to partake in a few times a year (match-up of the two worst teams in the ESPN Bottom 10 on every week it can happen).


ESPN+ isn't great for sure. I actually prefer the live streaming options from Amazon (native app on my TV, or if I'm on my computer I actually go to Twitch because then there's live commentary from a bunch of idiots on the side that I can partake in).

USA is known for reruns and movies. Nobody thinks sports. NBC Sports was known for sports. ESPN family is known for sports. CBS SN, FS1, known for sports. Any major network, is…a major network

There is a difference in perception between USA and the rest of those. Your average shitty CBB fan who thinks the A10 is a forgettable mid major? USA doesn’t help that perception. If you don’t believe that, I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe you don’t care, and that’s fine, but for a conference whose existence generally revolves around screaming ‘what about us’ to the rest of the nation, it’s worth mentioning.

I don’t control the remote in my home. The Hallmark Channel seems to be on my TV entirely too much, so I’m thinking basketball on THC would be a good thing for me.

I didnt dive too deep but the likely scenario is Richmond W, Bona W, Davidson W, La Salle L. You probably win out that 3 way tie breaker as you beat Davidson. You dont want the Bonnies involved in any tie breaker since you went 0-2.
