The Detroit Tigers announced today, without disclosing terms (at least I haven't found them yet), that they have re-signed Brandon Inge to play 3rd base for another two (possibly three) years. His defense is still very solid, incredible range - his only problem being lack of concentration on easier plays on occasion. Inge was very win method in 2006, since then (as evidenced by the team's won-loss record) he has not been nearly as win method.

Personally I am alright with the signing, as long as Inge is the 8th or 9th best hitter in the regular lineup. Under no circumstances should he be our 6th or 7th best hitter, as was frequently the case in 2009. In other news the Tigers are reported, by Lynn Henning of the Detroit News, as being after Adam Dunn who tops their wish list for the off season. A signing of Dunn and a catcher that can hit (possibly John Buck?) could really bring the Tigers' hitting up to snuff and turn them into a 90+ win team. All of which would help Brandon Inge become a more win method player.
