I think while this draft unfortunately doesn't have a SG to fill that starting need by the time our pick(s) come but I think those assets will be used to acquire a player or possibly move up.

Alec Burks - Definite lotto guy, plenty of upside but not sure if he fits the role from a defensive stand point or even long range shooting but he is great on offense and can create his own shot.

Jordan Hamilton - Probably a 10-15 range pick which we could probably move up for. Good range, height, can fill in at the 2 or 3. Just not sure if he's quick enough to guard elite SG's..

Everyone else are tweeners who could fill a role but not sure if they'd be worth the pick. Examples Shelving Mack, Nolan Smith, Malcolm Lee, Kemba Walker (could go a bit high) or even Jimmer Fredette... Either way between our two picks this season and the Bobcats future pick we should be able to make moves to get better... If there are some mid to late 1st rd sleeper contributors like Taj Gibson out their we could probably find some at SF or PG..

With the late picks I see them picking up some euro talent and stashing them away for a while, I look at a guy like BISMACK BIYOMBO as a guy who play's defense and has the potential to be a more athletic Taj Gibson.

Kyle Singler and Jereme Richmond are possibilities late in the draft but I really don't like Singler's NBA game or Richmonds attitude.

If for some crazy reason Jeremy Lamb from Ucon declares early and slips to the Bulls, I say they should jump on him ASAP. The kid is a 6'5 SG with a ridiculous wing span, hes got arms that should just not be on a guy his size, think Scottie Pippen freakish arms on a 6'5 frame. The kid can grow to be a truly great defensive player under Thibs.

With the Bulls win record this season won't they end up getting a low draft pick, they won't get high enough to pick any good players will they or am I missing something? I am a fairly new fan so I don't know the ins and outs, but I love the Bulls.

Yeah, they will pick towards the back end of the 1st round... while it isn't that common, you can still find the occasional diamond in the rough that late.

I did not see any UConn games, but I've heard great things about Jeremy Lamb. Sounds like a legit 2-way NBA SG in the making, who could defend, shoot the 3, and has a cold blooded killer mentality like Rose. Sounds too good to be true.

I wouldn't be surprised if we snagged Bogdanovic with one of our late 1st picks and stashed him away in Europe. Sounds like a solid long range shooter.

Lamb currently is not even projected as a top 20 prospect so he could be a HUGE steal if he comes out and slips to us. I think hes still pretty raw offensively and very awkward looking when dribbling because of his freakishly long arms but I think hes got all the tool's to be a great defender at the 2. Whatever he brings offensively to us is kosher but I like his defensive potential a ton.

Jeremy Lamb would be great for you guys, but his stock is definitely rising after the tournament.

Agreed. I'll be surprised (pleasantly so) if he's still available.

I figure you stash some Euro talent in the event a guy like Lamb isn't available. The Bulls have no needs other than a 2 guard, and I tend to think we won't solve that for next season in the draft.

Keep in mind the Bulls have assets to move up. The Charlotte pick (risky to shed, I know), the Bulls own pick (#29 currently), and the pick obtained from Toronto (#26, I think), though unsure who that belonged to originally.

If Lamb comes out, the Bulls like him enough, etc, we might move our 2 later picks to another team who doesn't want anyone available at a higher pick. #29 + #26 might let us move up to #20, maybe a little higher. Throw Charlotte pick into the mix, and we might be looking at a lotto pick.

But knowing our win now mentality, GarPax will probably not shoot for any major talent in the draft and instead seek out cheap vets on the FA market.

I like K. Irving from Duke. Irving plays really good defense, and gets a lot of steals. He has a pretty good three point shot and is awesome off the dribble. He seems like the most complete player in the draft. Wouldn't it be great to have Irving back Rose up, maybe even play some SG.

Irving is projected to be a top 5 pick, no way we even get a shot at taking him. That being said hes an NBA starter on most teams, having him backup Rose would be a waste because for one he does not project to be a scoring guard, hes not a 2 guard either so his strengths are at running a team. Half of the top ten teams in the draft are looking for a PG of the future, Irving is the best one available no way he slips.

The only way Irving slips to the Bulls is if he tears his ACL during workouts.

Kemba Walker IMO has the biggest risk of dropping, the guy has a ton of very good offensive tools but at 6'0 I just don't see him getting picked top 10.

they could still try to pry mayo away from memphis. gibson plus pick for mayo and with the other pick find an gibson replacement. hate to see him gone but he'll sooon look for an extension which the bulls wont pay.

the other option id much rather see is them just signing jr smith.

irving is 6-2. this is ben gordon all over again. the bulls need a 2 guard who is atleast 6-5.

JR Smith at times can just flat out play some brilliant ball, and Mayo is still a possibility I just don't see the Bulls taking risks and getting rid of Taj. Taj is a very flawed player but Boozer is not lighting the world on fire either so I see them holding on to him until they can find a similar player, I do think Biyombom from Congo can be better than Taj though.

As for Irving as the next Ben Gordon I don't see it. For one Irving is a true PG not a SG like Gordon and two hes a better ball handler.

i'm not familiar with him as a player, as i dont want watch any ncaa basketball.
i was just dropping bens name regarding irvings size. i just dont like the idea pairing derrick with a smaller guard than he is.

i agree gibson is nice safety to have on the bench. he plays good d. and you can never be sure about boozs and noah health. plus i dont know for how much longer we will see kurt in a bulls uniform.

my ideal plan would be sign jr smith and try out kelenna azubuike whether he is healty.

Yeah, you are right. I just checked the mock draft, and Irving looks like he's a lock for the top three picks. I thought missing most of the season with an injury would drop his draft status, I was wrong.

I really don't want J.R Smith. I like Mayo but not for Taj.
