Is Jason Richardson underrated?

Lets see here,

24 points per game
6 rebounds
3 assists

I'v seen some Golden State games and he hasnt looked too bad, His defense looked pretty good and he was stroking the 3. Hes shooting really close to 40% His field goal % overall is 45% which is better then Vince , Ray allen, MVP candidate chauncy billups ( 41 % ). Really , hes on a bad team but him and Baron davis could really be a good combo, then again baron davis is a cancer where ever he goes ( thank god the cavs didnt get him )

You dont hear anyone talking about the 5 year pro. He has really elevated his game from his rookie year (14 ppg ) Just think if this guy could team up with an all star such as Nash, lebron or even kobe.

De-Cision-Making. Truly horrendous. No, he is not underrated.
Yes, he's underrated.

I think it's a product of his environment. You get this guy on the right team with a good bunch of guys and he'll improve.

I would love for the Bulls to nab him somehow.
He's becoming a three point shooter. I used to like him more when he drove consistently, he's not underrated because he cant lift his team anywhere.
Underrated. He may shoot more 3's than he should, but that blinds people to the rest of his game. Plus being on a losing team diminishes his talent in alot of people's eyes.
He's a little underrated.
He's underrated...but he's still young..he can correct those bad decision making...
Definitely underrated. Not many average 24/6/3.
A lil bit underrated
Richardson is about where were he should be, neither underrated nor overrated.

You keep saying the same thing in every thread I read. He doesn't have bad decision making, in fact he is the main reason the Warriors win the few games they do. Your boy Vince shoots a worse percentage and has more turnovers, for comparison.

Just because he's on the same team as Baron doesn't mean he's Baron.

I keep saying the same thing, because the guards you guys all go nuts for all make horrendous on-court decisions. I lived in the Bay Area for years and years, and J-Rich has always made horrible decisions, and he continues to do so. Has nothing to do w/ B-Diddy, other than the two of them reinforcing each other's bad habits. As for you bringing up 'my boy' Vince. A) it has nothing at all to do w/ what we are talking about here, B) building on A, it shows you can't support your own argument because you have to bring in things that have nothing to do w/ it and C) you have no idea how I feel about Vince and his play as exemplified by your use of 'your boy.'

Very true. His decision making does struggle at times, but it's not bad to the point where it hurts the team often. There's about one player who has played excellent basketball on the Warriors this year and it's J-Rich.
Jason Richardson is definitely underrated. His stats are up there but no one ever talks about him. He has hit a few game winners this year too. He needs to make the playoffs to truly gain the recognition he deserves.
He needs to go to another team in order to get recognition if it is warranted. GS isn't going anywhere and Richardson has something to do with that.
He puts up good numbers, but he's not going to get any credit til the team starts winning some games.
I dont know about underrated per say but he isn't a recognized as he probably should be. Its really just a case of him playing on the westcoast and for a team/oganization thats pretty bad and has been for a while.

It could be called Eltonbranditis...a super talented player putting up pretty big numbers while holding his own against the elites at his position but plays on a bad team so his name is only brought up as an afterthought.
There's a big difference between JRich and EB. EB's always had consistent good play ever since he came into the L (co-ROY).
There was some noise about JRich when he came in too- his talent, potential, atheleticism, etc... but he was way to one dimensional. Plus GSW didn't improve much, so everyone forgot about him.
But he's really proved everyone wrong by improving his game, his once shaky shooting, so yes, I'd say people overlook him, but no, JRich isn't really that underrated. He's finally becoming the ballplayer alot of people saw him capable of being. He certainly deserves recognition of his acchievements.
