Seemed like this coaching job for Phil was more of a short term favor rather then a long term commitment: are there any indications how long he'll stay as coach?
1) He's old
2) This team ain't going to get him that 10th title unless the Lakers absolutely pilfer some other team this offseason
3) Brian Shaw is being groomed
4) He's old
You might hate his rotations but Phil Jackson again is showing why he is the best coach of all time IMO: gets crappy players to play at the maximum of there ability. Mihm, Parker, even Brown and Odom now. In the past it was guys like Livingston, Longley, Bison Dele, and BJ armstrong
