Some of the old players we have on this team, such as Dike and Juwan, are really pushing age. Has anyone heard of any player thinking about retirement in the next two years for the rockets?

If we lose Dike, we lose great defense and intimidation
If we lose Howard, we lose spurts of offense
If we lose Brunson...well....never mind....

But as the seasons go, we have to bring younger people in to compliment the outside and the inside...

Just a thought....

Juwan has 4 years of guaranteed salary left. If he retires without a medical reason for doing so, he loses it.

He ain't going nowhere.

The other two aren't far short. Brunson was interviewed for the Temple head coaching job, so maybe he's considering it.

People act like the Magic lost T-Mac for virtually nothing, but a declinig and overpaid Juwan Howard with 6 years left on his term was one of the worst contracts in the league.

Deke said in the beginning of the season, this would be his last year win or lose.
Yeah, I remember that. I'm going to miss him.

That was cleaning up their own mistake, though. And at the time, $5 million for the 17/7 Juwan was OK. It's those oft-annoying raises that shagged it.

Juwan's not gonna retire for another few yrs, but his productivity will definitely be done. Lets hope Stro or Hayes can start making up for that lost productivity starting next season...
