Have you guys seen Josh Smith lately?? He's blocking shots, making threes, dunking on everyone; I think this kid can be a superstar player one day.

No. He plays for the Hawks.
I haven't seen him play regularly but I've been looking @ boxscores & he's been putting together some solid games. It seems that he's really improved his shot of late. He's gonna be great next season.

yep. I saw some highlights.. this kids gonna be good, an all star one day. he's been putting up 22+ points regularly these days with 2-4 blocks, 4-8 assists, 6-12 boards, and a three or two...

All star? sure...Superstar? lol
well this is just his second year...

could you have said Jermaine O'Neal was gonna be a superstar his first few seasons?
He can be a superstar if Atlanta got enough exposure to the media. And that may takes 2-3 more years.
He'll never come close to being a superstar, but he's very fun to watch.

He will be superstar
his boxscores look really good
and he's only like 20 years old and is at least as good as Kobe/T-mac at that age.
He is looking very nasty. I say at least an All-Star soon.

No, because he was behind Rasheed Wallace and Brian Grant, Josh Smith has started all but since the 2nd half of last year I think.

Anyways, my friend is always talking about him because he is on his fantasy team, but man he is doing really good. But he started doing this the 2nd half of last year, and wasn't as impressive this first half, but again in the 2nd half of the season he steps it up.
Hell yeah he's playing awesome, he's going to be a multi All Star in a few years I think.

ATL, I was wondering what you thought about what I said in my above post. Is it just me or does Smith step it up in the 2nd half of the season, and is less than impressive at the beginning?
In truth he's actually better than McGrady was at 20, but not better than Kobe at 20. Superstar is a relative term. It's a term for someone who can carry a franchise. I happen to think he has a whole lot of talent, but I don't know if he will be a superstar.

If he becomes a scorer over 25 ppg, with his all-around game, I feel he'll be a superstar no doubt.

Yeah. Well, first half of the year.. he was in the coach's dog house, was getting benched. He is really improving & continuing to work on his game with coaches. And his shot is really coming along.

He's made 25 3-pointers in his last 24 games after not making any in the first 49 games of the season. And is really a hard worker, so he can be as good as he wants to be with his work ethic and athletic ability. He's already a monstrous blocker, and his scoring is coming along. He's having very good assist games, too. The only part I would say that his game is still not very developed is his 1-on-1 defense.

Superstar? Nah, man. There's like 3 superstars in the NBA right now, that's a very elite group. But Josh will be very good very soon. I think with him, Joe Johnson, and maybe Marvin? That's a mean looking trio.
i think he's definatley could be a superstar if he does what joe johnson did to the suns joe was the 3rd player on the sun and the best player on the hawks. josh has the skill to be a superstar but i don't think it in atlanta because he will always be the 3rd player behind marvin(whose the future of this franchise) and joe johnson hopefully he doesn't pull a joe johnson and we could have possibly the best trio in the nba in 2 years

lol Atlanta is bad team in the league
if he's only 3rd player on bad team
he won't be anywhere 1st player.
Josh Smith is the guy the Raptors should have drafted instead of Hoffa.

he's their second best player right now and when everybody develops he could be their 3rd best player that shows how much upside this team has 5 years from now all hawks fans will be lol on all you guys that kill the hawks
