exactly, and you think the nets would just give him up like that without a fight? they already said that the biggest mistake the team ever made was giving up dr. j and that they never want to make a mistake like that again.
I think they will be able to resign him. I don't think last year was a fluke, I think the nets will win 50 again. After that I can't see kidd wanting to leave the east.
Myopia Rules in NJ

Wake up; Kidd doesn't want to settle for 50 win seasons. The question is not whether the Nets will extend the max but whether they can convince Kidd that they can make the personnel moves to give Kidd a team with a realistic chance of winning it all. I wouldn't be optimistic about that.

San Antonio will have the money and the main missing ingredient for Kidd. They have Duncan. Unless the Nets get a much better big man than either Todd or Keith, Jason is going to warmer weather

i disagree...sure, kidd wants to play for a team that has a chance of winning a championship, and the nets qualify for that. so, i am optimistic in that perspective. (plus, anyway, rod thorn will do whatever it takes to keep kidd...no doubt about that!)

san antonio doesn't need kidd. they already having a rising point guard with tony parker.

plus anyway, the weather ain't that bad in jersey! :D
