Interestingly on NBA.COM he compared himself to Isiah Thomas in who he thought he was similar to and who he had tried to model his game on.
I always knew he was in the mould of the brilliant Isiah Thomas.

I have been watching the Bulls on NBA League Pass for three years!!! THREE YEARS!!!! NOW, I will finally get to see some GOOD GAMES!!! At least it should be soooooooo much better than the past three years...oh, and MY NBA League pass re-news A-u-t-o-m-a-t-i-c-a-l-l-y!!! YEAH BABY!!!:laugh:

It's funny that you mention Isiah- I was watching the draft with my dad, and neither of us were that high on Jay, I think because we both like a big backcourt. And I said "who knows, maybe he's another Isiah"- not the quickest, not the tallest, not the strongest, just the best.
Of course, Isiah would have hit that FT in this year's NCAA tourney, but.... hell, Payton was a sub-70% FT shooter his first few years in the league.
