The Jays are searching for two bats to add to their 2006 lineup and have been trying to acquire outfielder Kevin Mench from the Texas Rangers, as well.

Overbay, who turns 29 in January, hit .276 with 19 homers and 72 RBIs in 158 games this past season.Initially, the Brewers asked the Jays for former No. 1 pick, right-handed starter Dustin McGowan.

Overbay would be a solid pickup, but we're overloaded at that 1B/DH position with Hillenbrand, Hinske, Hill, Catt, just to name a few....

Overbay, in my eyes is Hinske, but with better contact hitting....hes a nice pickup especially since we lack pop from the leftside, but definitely not a guy that'll put you over the hill....
