From a Bull fan perspective.

Marshall negotiations

First Utah offered him $21/3 years. Then Rodman's old agent Manley countered with a 5 year deal the last 2 of which would be a team option and the first 3 for $25.5 mil..
Utah responded with $27/4 years.
Manley scoffed at this.

According to another sites' trade checker, the trade value of:

Fizer is $10.8 mil and ERob is $20.9 mil.
Total: $31.7 mil

How about Marshall for Fizer and ERob?
~ $31.7/4 years for Marshall.

Marshall profile

Marshall is a 3/4.
Fizer is a 4/3.
Erob is a 3(some say he can play some 2).

Perhaps if the Jazz wanted to dump Amaechi the Bull would ask for Jarron Collins(S&T) too and in return the Jazz would get Dalibor Bagaric(cheap bad big young center) and Fred Hoiberg(wise 2 guard whose contract dies after this coming season). Collins will be BYC but perhaps the dump of Amaechi would persuade the Jazz to accept less for him?

Expanded:
Marshall,Amaechi,Collins
for
ERob,Fizer,Bagaric,Hoiberg

If the Jazz think ERob can play some 2 or if the expanded version is of interest then maybe they can forget about Bryon Russell and save some $.

The Bull get a true "power 3"(a player who can play some 3&4 and rebound) to compliment Rose. Hopefully Marshall would play like he has in Utah and not how he played in GS. In the expanded version, Amaechi(quite possibly the worst center(yes he's worse than Bags) in the NBA) is the pain needed to recieve the gain of Collins who could be a nice guy for a rotation with TC & EC because he can play either the 4 or the 5.

Basic:
EC/Bags
TC/Marshall/Baxter
Rose/Marshall
JC/Hassell/Rose
"Jay"/JC/Mason

or

Expanded:
EC/Collins/Amaechi
TC/Marshall/Collins/Baxter
Rose/Marshall
JC/Hassell/Rose
"Jay"/JC/Mason

I like it but I don't think ERob has any trade value right now because of his injury-plagued toe. Plus, the Bulls may want to get a younger free agent in the future. I wouldn't argue with this trade though. I think ERob will be good if he stays healthy. I love the idea of Fizer as a 6th man but he will ask too much money, so i don't doubt he will be traded to a playoff contender soon.

I did give Fizer his credit. I love the idea of him as a 6th man for this young up-and-coming team but once his contract runs out I think he will leave to go to a team where he will get more playing time which = more cash.
I wish the Bulls could keep Fizer, but I believe he will ask for too much money and with ERob on the bench he is expendable.

My first thought were absolutely not. Fizer isn't worth Marshall. I check out stats and that is much more even than I thought.
MPG PPG RPG APG SPG BPG FG% 3P% FT%
Marshall 30.2 14.8 7.6 1.7 .86 1.16 .519 .310 .708
Fizer 25.8 12.3 5.6 1.6 .64 .32 .438 .171 .668

There are some concerns though. Marshall is a better shot blocker. Marshall is a better shooter. The last thing the Jazz need is to get worse in the shooting dept. Part of any trade for Marshall needs to be a SG who can hit the three. Hoiberg has been very inconsistant from three. He has shot 33, 41, 38, 11, 34, 41, and 26 percent over his 7 year career. Which one is the real Hoiberg? We don't need E-Rob and he has 4 years and 26 M left on his contract. We have Kirilinko at the SF. He will be getting the bulk of the minutes there. E-Rob would be an expensive backup. E-Rob seems to be a better three point shooter but he has taken very few. Kirilinko is a better defender. I would rather have Kirilinko.
