The past 2 national champions and the national runner up from 2019. Soon to also include an additional final 4 team from 2021.

Their football is being destroyed by realignment, but they're still strong for basketball.
*For now.

Also, the Big 12 may be approaching the SEC in levels of greasiness. There is some SCUM out there.

No disagreement on the greasiness.

But football drives the bus for realignment, and outside of the PAC nobody is looking at the Big 12. It's pretty doubtful that any of the Big 12 members would go to the PAC at this point, with the possible exception of Houston, thanks to what the exit fees are.

The only member in there who would possibly get some looks for either the B1G or SEC is Kansas, and even then they're pretty low on the priority list, behind Oregon, Washington, Stanford, and Cal from the PAC (at the very least, questionable for Utah, Arizona, or ASU). They're also behind Clemson, UNC, Duke, and potentially Georgia Tech from the ACC (again, at the very least).

The Big 12 is "stable" because no one wants to take their teams outside of conferences that aren't in a strong enough position to take them at this moment.
