Joey Harrington will be the Lions' starting quarterback for at least one more game because Jeff Garcia is still having problems with his left leg.
"I can't get over the hump," Garcia said Thursday. "There just seems to be a lot of soreness, some discomfort. It feels weak. I just can't run. If you can't run, it's hard to play."
Asked if he would like to make it difficult for coach Steve Mariucci to replace him again when Garcia gets healthy, Harrington said: "Of course, I would. That just means that I'm playing well and we're winning football games.
"It's not a personal issue I have. It's just a fact that I want to win some games. The guys on this team deserve to win some football games. Whatever my role is when Jeff gets healthy, we'll deal with that. I'll be ready to play either way."
