Now that Barkley has been inducted into the HoF, you think the rockets would retire his number along side the other rockets? I know philly already has and i think PHX has too. I would understand that his tenure here was short, but it was longer then Clydes, and the same as with pheonix(4 years). Also M. Malones number is up there as well, and he played in houston only 5 seasons.

I honestly would love to see his name up there. Sure we didnt win any rings with him, But could have come damn close if it wernt for stockton's 3 pointer. Undoubtley he IMHO is the 2nd best PF in the modern era behind K. Malone.

i never really like barkley. plus i think he meant less to the franchise and city of houston than clyde or moses.
but what he brought to the table as far as skill, personality, dedication and how he always praised houston and the rockets organization, and opened the city with open arms. I have never once ever heard barkley talk bad about houston then or now. All i ever head about is garbage about PHX. He even once said that hes grateful to have retired in houston not in PHX. But his choice would have been Philly obviously.
No. Drexler won a ring with Houston and went to the University of Houston. He was a hometown hero, so the situation is quite different from Barkley's.

Yeah, that's the biggest difference.
Doubtfully.

Phoenix can retire his 34 because he meant more to than he was to Houston.
That '97 side was awesome. Won 57 games with Olajuwon, Drexler and Barkley missing a combined 53. Handed the Bulls their biggest loss of the season.
Barkley was amazing if you looked at the fact that he was an unremarkable rebounder at like 6'4", but other than that, he talks way too much **** as an analyst and didn't do much during offseasons except get fatter. I don't really know much about the guy, he was too early for me, can't recall him in much except in that Michael Jordan movie.... what was it called again? oh yeahs Space Jam.
