Larry Brown's team beat Iverson's Sixers. How? The Knicks treated every possession as important and minimized turnovers. They played defense and took shots that went down efficiently. The NETS have played sloppily. They haven't taken care of the ball on each possession. They've taken poor shots many times down - not being able to live with prosperity or fragmenting under adversity. The NETS have not gone to their strengths. They need to parade to the free throw line. They need to stop worrying about the highlight reels and more about coming away with the most points at the end of regulation - even if it entails defense. Nate Robinson provided offense. The NETS bench can do the same when the NETS are ahead or need it. Playing time should be scaled down for those that don't play defense when out there. If they're trying, they should be given a chance. There are occasions when offense is needed, but the defensive play should earn the minutes to shine on offense.

They won it on a 3 point shot at the buzzer in OT at home. You act like they taught Philly a lesson. It's obvious the Nets need to protect the ball and play better defense. Everyone is saying including Frank and the team.

I didn't see any form of defense in that game. It was like watching the Cavs/Philly game that Lebronze/Hughes went off on the Sixers.

Until the Sixers, Nets learn how to play sum defense and not just focus on outscoring the other team they'll never move up into the elite. They'll keep losing to Indy, Pistons, and you'll keep reading threads about firing coaches, firing GM's bringing stat padders from othere teams(Harrington, SAR) that won't make much of a difference.

Take a page from Phoenix. Yes they're the posterboy's run and gun, but they made and consice effort to bring players with defensive attributes. Boris Diaw(MIP!), Raja Bell, Kurt Thomas.
