Larry Brown's team beat Iverson's Sixers. How? The Knicks treated every possession as important and minimized turnovers. They played defense and took shots that went down efficiently. The NETS have played sloppily. They haven't taken care of the ball on each possession. They've taken poor shots many times down - not being able to live with prosperity or fragmenting under adversity. The NETS have not gone to their strengths. They need to parade to the free throw line. They need to stop worrying about the highlight reels and more about coming away with the most points at the end of regulation - even if it entails defense. Nate Robinson provided offense. The NETS bench can do the same when the NETS are ahead or need it. Playing time should be scaled down for those that don't play defense when out there. If they're trying, they should be given a chance. There are occasions when offense is needed, but the defensive play should earn the minutes to shine on offense.
