Phoenix (17-31) at New York (21-27) 7:30 pm EST
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Stephon Marbury and Penny Hardaway face
their former team for the first time since being traded when the
New York Knicks host the Phoenix Suns at Madison Square Garden
on Saturday.

Marbury and Hardaway were acquired by the Knicks for forward
Antonio McDyess and guards Howard Eisley and Charlie Ward on
January 5. New York also got center Cezary Trybanski and Phoenix
received rookie forward Maciej Lampe, the rights to Milos
Vujanic and two future first-round picks in the biggest trade of
the season thus far.

The Knicks have gotten the better of the deal so far, winning
seven of 13 games. Marbury is averaging 16.8 points and 10.3
assists and Hardaway had added 9.8 points per game.

Ward was released immediately after the trade, McDyess is on the
injured list and Eisley is averaging just 6.6 points for the
Suns, who have lost nine of 14 games since the deal.

New York avoided a three-game losing streak with a 92-74 road
victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday.

Marbury scored 17 points to lead five players in double figures

the All-Star break due to soreness in his surgically repaired
right knee.

Keith Van Horn had 14 of his 16 points in the third quarter and
Shandon Anderson, who started in Houston's place, added 16 for
New York, which has won six of nine overall.

The Knicks have lost two straight games at Madison Square Garden
to fall to 12-13 at home this season.

Phoenix is completing a five-game road trip following Friday's
105-100 loss to the Washington Wizards.

Joe Johnson matched a career-high with 28 points and had a
career-high nine assists and Shawn Marion scored 24 points for
the Suns, who squandered a 15-point fourth-quarter lead and lost
