Lakers: Samaki Walker told GM Mitch Kupchak that he would exercise his option -- at $1.54 million -- to return to the Lakers next season. "He wants to be here," Kupchak told the L.A. Times. "He came to us for lesser money than he could have gotten. My guess is, it's tough to judge what the market will be this summer. But this is where he wanted to be. He feels this is a place where he can flourish." Kupchak also spoke briefly Monday with guard Lindsey Hunter, who may opt out of his contract that's due to pay him about $8 million over the next two seasons. He said Hunter hadn't yet decided, but that he would by the weekend.

I think that now that we have Samaki-we won't get Rose or any other PF's unless they come really cheap (oakley mabye).I also think that this means we won't draft Boozer or Clancy- because there will be minutes available.

I started this discussion here a couple of days ago. But I don't wanna sound like a Mod with itchy trigger finger. So I will leave this thread open but let's try not to post duplicate threads. ;)

Just a friendly reminder. :)

Walker

The Lakers ill trade Walker, and be able to sign Rose. Walker is fooling himself if he thinks that he'll be back for next year. He's a nice guy, but he needs to improve his game. In a few games this year, he was great, but at the end of the year he was downright awful.
