What the hell are the Raptors thinking. I think it was something like this "Hey lets make the world champs better and us a lot worse."

Both teams win I guess

I think Jeffries would've been a better fit for LA because he's a small forward and Rush is a 2. Rush would've complemented VC very well. Both teams win though, because now Toronto has their small forward to play next to VC, and the Lakers get another shooter/scorer. I think Rush will do extremely well under Jackson.

Myself...

being a lakers fan would have likely to just keep Jeffries and Hunter. Yeah we gain Rush and Murray but Kareem is a 20guard and Murray is washed up. Jeffries would have provided great defense and good offense and hunter is our backup PG. unless we got Rush to try to manuver a deal with Portland for Woods I think e got screwed in this trade.

The lakers get a top 15 talent with just having to give up a top 25 pick talent and a washed up point guard and you think you are getting screwed?

Chris Jeffries is a top 15 talent. The only reason he fell is because he is coming off an injury. Kareem Rush, while good, is not what the Lakers need. He is a scorer and that's about it. They could use an all-around player who can handle the ball, play tough defense and yes also score(Jeffries). They also lose thier backup guard for a washed up veteran in Murray. He used to be alright but hasnt had a good year in like 4 years.

From what I say this year, Hunter didn't do much for the Lakers any ways. And Jeffries isn't a top 15 talent. Jeffries is not better than Ming, Williams, Dunleavy, Gooden, Tskitshvilli, Wagner, Wilcox, Woods, Stoudemire, Curtis Borchardt, Melvin Ely, Rush, Hilario, Jeffries or Butler He didn't have near the college career Rush had. The Lakers did need another scorer because Shaq and Kobe can't always do everything by themselves. Rush is a very good three point shooter and the Lakers needed another one of those for Shaq to pass out to. Rush also was also a very good passer this year. I would take rush over jeffries any day.

Rush is way better than Jefferies at the offensive end. I'm hearing that Jefferies was a better defender, but we have enough good defensive players on the Lakers already. Although, the Lakers could have gotten Kareem Rush so they can trade him to Portland for Qyntel Woods. Rush was taken at 20 and Woods wa taken at 21, so the Blazers might have wanted to draft Rush, had the Raptors not drafted him.
