agreed.
Von Wafer's stay with the Lakers probably will be brief. He was called up because of a 12-day break in the schedule for the Fort Worth (Texas) Flyers of the NBA's Development League. He is expected to be sent back to the Flyers before they resume play April 1.

Wafer, who averaged eight points on 33.3% shooting in eight games with the Flyers, acknowledged he took "a lot of bad shots."

"I just forced the issue a little bit, tried to make it happen," he said.

Rookie guard Von Wafer was sent back to the Fort Worth Flyers of the Development League. He averaged eight points in 17.9 minutes in a previous eight-game assignment with the Flyers, who begin their playoffs Saturday.

"We wanted to make sure he'd get a little chance to play down there, and they wanted him," Jackson said.

In 16 games with the Lakers this season, Wafer averaged 1.3 points in 4.6 minutes. He would probably return to the Lakers if they made the playoffs, although he probably would not be on their active roster.
