Glad someone is noticeing them because they really are the best tandem out there. I have leauge pass and some announcers are so bad that you about fall asleep.

Los Angeles Clippers
Ralph Lawler, Michael Smith
Lawler has been calling Clippers games since 1978, and, as you'd expect, he has a pretty healthy sense of humor. His voice, the way he puts together a play-by-play telecast and the tone he chooses to celebrate and/or castigate -- these are the aural equivalents of life as a Los Angeles Clipper. Lawler doesn't waste his time breathlessly bantering about the endless promise that young Clipper after Clipper has shown over the last 28 years. Rather, he manages to distill the lifeblood of Los Angeles' "other" basketball franchise into something worth listening to. Acting as an oral historian of sorts, Lawler captures the absurdities, the fits of brilliance, the disappointments and perpetual bits of frustration that always co-exist alongside the promise of another (better) game to come, another (higher) draft pick to use and another chance at getting it right. This year's Clippers team has gotten it right, and Lawler -- as you'd also expect -- has risen to the occasion.
Ralph and Mike are great but Walton is the worst announcer in the league. Does this guy even watch basketball? I will always remember this memorable quote from Walton,"Where would the Clippers be without Mike Olowokandi?" I wasnt sure if he was serious or not but I do remember him saying it more than once.universal! said:Fasten your seatbelts!
The funny thing is a few years ago while at Staples, I looked and yes, Ralph did have seat belts on his seat!
It's all Ralph- he's great with just about anyone. I especially liked him with Bill Walton. The deadpan comedy was off the charts.

Mike Smith does know the game/players games and is not a raging homer. Its funny how you can never understand what STu is saying during laker games.. I think its cause he's got Kobes **** in his mouth.
Walton is amusing for a little while then he just gets old. He doesnt add anything to a broadcast at that point.
No offense but I fall asleep when I listen to Joel Meyers and Stu Lantz. They bore me to death. The Lakers announcing team will never be the same. You cant replace a legend like CHick Hearn. As for Mike Smith I think he is hilarious. Im so damn glad that we dont have the Big Redhead anymore.Jamel Irief said:I think it's funny that because I have a Laker avatar, you had to bring them up even though they had nothing to do with it. It's like if I say Ewing is a mediocre back up guard you point out how horrible Sasha is. Grow up or lose the fixitation.
I laugh when Smith forgets simple things like what position a certain player was drafted or what team he used to play for in 98.
