Right out of the gate of the 2011 MLB season, Max Scherzer came out looking to pick-up where he left off in 2010. Out pitching Justin Verlander in the second-half of the 2010 season and showing he had all the makings of a dominate number two. Scherzer started 6-0 before losing his first game in 2011, then the wheels fell off. Scherzer would win only nine more games the rest of the year, finshing with a 15-9 record and a 4.43 ERA.

What is up with so many people confusing the words "dominate" and "dominant"?

Solid analysis, by the way. I do recommend adding another line break between paragraphs when you're posting an article online, it strains the eyes to read blocks of text like that on a computer. Print and digital media require different formatting.
