Kirk Hinrich figures to make the roster today when the NBA announces the players for the Rookie Challenge.
Through Sunday's games, Hinrich ranked fifth among rookie scorers at 10.9 points, third in assists with 5.8 and fourth in minutes played.
If he does play, however, it will mean a hectic weekend filled with travel, instead of a three-day vacation. The rookie squad will take on a team of second-year players during all-star weekend in Los Angeles.
"I think if I do end up going out there, I'm going to have to catch a flight at 6 a.m. on Friday and (practice) that night," Hinrich said. "It's still going to be a chore."
