Given the popularity of the last thread, I've decided to make a new one for the month of February. This month features some easier teams than in January, when we played some real heavyweights and came out on top in most of the matchups. January 2004 was the best month in franchise history -- let's hope that some of that good fortune spills over into this month.

Feel free to post in this thread with your opinions on what games the Grizz will win or lose and why.

February doesn't look too tough. We'll be playing a lot teams that are trying to steal our playoff spot though, so I think this is an important month. We beat them, we make the playoffs.

I have to agree the only real trouble teams are Dallas and Minnesota, 2 teams we have played very well against this season. The Bucks and the Hornets are tough but we host them shouldn't be that diffucult. If Chandler gets back for Chicago this is about the same time last year they turned around and that game could be tough. If Denver plays smart @Denver could be a tough game. Let's hope that this is a good month for us and if we stay injury free again it can be very good to put us on the way to the playoffs.

vs. GSW - Win (1-0)
@ WAS - Win (2-0)
vs. MIL - Win (3-0)
@ MIN - Loss (3-1)
@ DEN - Loss (3-2)
vs. LAC - Win (4-2)

All-Star Break

vs. DAL - Loss (4-3)
vs. PHO - Win (5-3)
@ CHI - Win (6-3)
vs. DEN - Win (7-3)
vs. GSW - Win (8-3)
@ MIL - Win (9-3)
vs. NOH - Win (10-3)

February looks like a much easier month than what we've had so far. I think we'll split with Denver to even out the season series, and I could go either way with the Mavs game, since it's being played at home. I'm not overlooking Milwaukee or New Orleans (at home), but I think we'll win all three of those games. I think 10 wins is possible, without being too generous, while 9 is probably more likely, provided we don't go on some unforseen skid.

Huge win today over the T-Wolves. Can't say I saw that coming, especially not in such dramatic fashion. Now, if we can beat the Nuggets (who, should they lose to the Kings tonight, would fall behind us in the standings), we'll be riding a five game winning streak into the All-Star break, where it should be smooth sailing in the second half of the season.

We're a red-hot 9-1 so far for the month, and there's no real reason why we can't finish up the month with 12 wins, with our last three games hosting Golden State, @ Milwaukee, and back home for New Orleans.

This has been a great month. Good time to be a Grizz fan.

We finish 10-3, which is statistically the best month in Grizzlies' history, beating out last month when we went 10-4.

2004 has been a historic year so far for the Grizz. The win over New Orleans tonight symbolized the month pretty well.

Now -- March -- the playoff hunt really begins.
