HEAT vs Houston Rockets @ AmericanAirlines Arena– Jan. 26, 2004 – 7:30 PM (Eastern)
TV: Sunshine Network: Eric Reid and Mike Fratello
Radio: WIOD 610 AM (Mike Inglis & Tony Fiorentino), WBZT 1230 AM, WACC 830 AM (Jose Paneda & Joe Pujala Spanish Radio)
Series Notes: It will be a family affair once again as the Houston Rockets and Miami HEAT met on Nov. 11 this season with the Rockets posting a 90-70 victory at the Toyota Center. Houston leads the all-time series 19-15 overall and 9-8 over the HEAT in Miami. Over the last 15 meetings however, the HEAT has posted 12 wins dating back to the 1995-96 season. Monday’s contest will also feature the second head-to-head match-up with the brothers Van Gundy. Houston head coach Jeff Van Gundy is the younger brother of HEAT head coach Stan Van Gundy. The Van Gundy’s are the first brother combination to coach in the NBA at the same since Herb and Larry Brown did it during the 1975-76, 1976-77 & 1977-78 seasons respectively. Herb Brown was the head coach of the Detroit Pistons and Larry Brown was the head coach of the Denver Nuggets.

Grant can get physical with him like he did last year and keep Yao off the boards...thats pretty much our key. If Grant gets in foul trouble-we're gonna have the battle of China-Yao vs. Wang!

great game

Jones played great, as well as altson. Caron did ok, and lamar was his consistent double double self. Grant guarded Yao extremely well. Everybody contributed tonight, and it was great to watch

with that caron shot:eek:. Even though it didnt count its going to be on sportscenter tonight

ok what happened in tonight's game... why'd Yao only play 27mins and why'd houston go back to its s****y perimeter game?? Francis Mobley and Jackson combined 7-34?? Quit shooting the ball and feed the ball to Yao!! 4 assists from the starting 2 guards, how sad is that...
