Just a couple:

Will Dallas swing a deal before the deadline? Will it be a blockbuster or a small one? For who?

What's the soonest time that Dallas' chemistry will finally come together?

When Josh Howard comes back, will Don Nelson continue to use the 6 man rotation? Will any of the other players ever average more than 15 minutes?

MF:it seems more and more like they are less and less convinced that they can succeed with an all-star lineup. ... somebody around here better be willing to dive on the floor, set picks, take A defensive assignments, etc, or the mavs will convince themselves to find that sort of somebody... 2 names that, however interesting, dont fit this need mold: Z in Cleveland and Rasheed. Z can't play d; Rasheed is viewed by Dallas as another perimter player, and not nearly as good a guy as everybody now employed here.

MF:it had better happen in time for the mavs to secure the 4th seed. expectations are so high that the 50-win pace they're presently on will be a disappointment to some. but if 50 wins gets you the 4th seed, you're in the same exact pretty good shape you were in last year.

they are beginning to recognize that bradley is needed. so with aj and jho, that's an 8-man rotation. delk, fortson and najera are spot players, nothing wrong there. daniels is a future, best has been a waste.

Non Dallas questions:

Will the Sonics swing a deal before the deadline? Who are they going after?

MF:no insight here.

Will the Knicks turn into one of the top East teams now that they have Starbury?

MF:they're certainly in the right conference to do so. if energy at msg has anything to do with success -- and i think it does -- the knicks can be a player. marbury makes the knicks matter.

what the suns are doing, of course, is something completely opposite that. phx has become one of those perpetually rebuilding franchises.

Will Yao Ming average more than 16-7 this season? What is he doing wrong?

MF:van gundy suggests its a lack of passion. just goes to show that you get what you get. wouldn't it be great if Dirk was great defensively, if Rasheed wasn't a pothead, if JKidd could shoot? But you get what you get. Yao's calm coolness is a strength -- unless what you need from him is passion.

Thanks
