Why should he go to Golden State or the Clippers?
He has a better future if he stays in Cleveland. Let me explain:
He plays the next season in Cleveland and should become an all-star. If he has enough of the Cavs after that season he can sign with any team that he wants as a FA...but I'm not sure he wants out then. Just keep in mind that the Cavs are gonna be weak, with or without Miller. So they have a great chance to get James. And if they get him, who would not stay and play together with the next Jordan?

I doubt Miller is staying. RealGM's top story is now Miller and Stith for Miles and Harold Jamison. Good bye, Dre.

I want Miller to go to the Clippers, because they will not sign him to a max contract which opens the door for him to sign with the Jazz in the future.
I love your circular reasoning there! Good one. Maybe others are employing that same reasoning.

I think it'd be the same if he stayed in Cleveland. Miller doesn't want to be there...he'd definitely leave.

Yeah, I highly doubt Sterling will sign Olawakandi, Brand, Odom, and Miller to max contracts or even Miles if they keep him. They will be lucky to sign 2 of those guys to long term deals.

The Clippers are just another version of the NBDL just with better talent, because half there team is going to be starring on another teams roster in a couple of years.

Now, why is James being called the next Jordan, and Kobe isn't? Hmmm...

This guy knows what's UP, people! IF Donald Sterling gives Elgin Baylor the okay to sign anybody to a max-out extension, he WON'T be allowed to sign more than TWO guys to max-out extensions! I'm going to be pretty surprised if Elgin is allowed to max out just ONE guy! IF the Clips make a deal for Andre Miller, they are pretty much committing themselves to maxing the dude out--which means that, at most, only ONE of the following dudes--Olowokandi, Brand, and Odom (and, to be fair, Maggette)--will be signing longterm extensions with the Clips. Why? Because there are going to be a TON of teams WAAAAAY under the cap next summer, and each one of these guys we're talking about--Andre Miller, Michael Olowokandi, Elton Brand, and Lamar Odom--will be getting max-out offers from SOMEBODY, as they are HOT YOUNG COMMODITIES!

MY TAKE ON WHAT WILL HAPPEN HERE: The Clips do NOT trade for Andre Miller, they take their chances with Marko Jaric and Keyon Dooling next season (as they are, of course, MUCH CHEAPER, do NOT forget what a cheap a$$ Donald Sterling is!); Elton Brand is given a max-out deal with the Clips next offseason; Andre Miller stays with the Cavs next season and gets shipped off somewhere in a sign-and-trade (Utah?); Lamar Odom gets maxed out by the Nuggets; Michael Olowokandi gets maxed out by a surprise team--THE SPURS. And Corey Maggette will get a big offer from somebody, too, he'll be a goner. The 2003-04 L.A. Clippers will look like this:

PG Marko Jaric--Keyon Dooling
SG Quentin Richardson
SF Darius Miles
PF Elton Brand--Chris Wilcox
C Melvin Ely--Sean Rooks

NOT A PLAYOFF TEAM, PEOPLE! The Clips are going to blow it AGAIN! The mass exodus will CONTINUE in the 2004 offseason, when Dooling, Richardson, and Miles will all be unrestricted free agents! SMELL YA LATER, FELLAS!

Again, if Miller gets traded anytime soon, it won't be with the Clips. Think Washington, or Utah, or Indiana, or Golden State instead. Or how about a dark horse team: Miami. But NOT the CLIPS!

Hold on while I attempt to remove my foot from my mouth...

Andre Miller for Darius Miles--WOW. I am stunned. Really.

The 2003-04 Clips may look NOTHING like the 2002-03 Clips, as we all know. But WOW, take a look at the 2002-03 CLIPS!

PG Andre Miller
SG Quentin Richardson
SF Lamar Odom
PF Elton Brand
C Michael Olowokandi

Bench: Corey Maggette, Keyon Dooling, Marko Jaric, Chris Wilcox, Sean Rooks, Melvin Ely, Bryant Stith

There are four guys in that starting lineup who are all legitimate All-Star candidates NEXT YEAR. How is this team going to finish any lower than fifth place in the West?
