Again I'm using 7 mocks. The results come from a per pick basis. Example: of the 7 mocks Pick #2 is player A in 4 of them, Player B in 3 of them. Player A would be the pick. In the event of a tie, overall average is used, as a tiebreaker.

2006 1st round
1: Thomas, Tyrus
2: Aldridge, Lamarcus
3: Bargnani, Andrea
4: Morrison, Adam
5: Noah, Joakim
6: Roy, Brandon
7: Gay, Rudy
8: Brewer, Ronnie
9: Williams, Shelden
10: Williams, Marcus
11: Reddick, J.J.
12: Collins, Mardy
13: Splitter, Tiago
14: Ager, Maurice
15: Rondo, Rajon
16: O'Bryant, Patrick
17: Armstrong, Hilton
18: Foye, Randy
19: Davis, Glen
20: Douby, Quincy
21: Sefolosha, Thabo
22: Boone, Josh

24: Brown, Dee

Avg: 13
Then Placements The 1st 2 are the most recent.
9 19 13 11 18 18 8

My personal take on Foye...I think he's a very good college Player. But I don't see that he's a lotto pick.
Looks like Portland will get a good pick in top 5, if they don't make a trade.
are any of these taking team needs into account? That would alter things.

No - because team selection order hasn't been determined yet. Draft Lottery in May. This is simply the average placement of these players in 7 different mock drafts.
I think team needs should be taken in account in another mix.(Almost 2000 posts.

First you'd have to decide who is going to pick when or write a few of them putting first one team as one then another team as getting the first pick. Of course you could just go with the order that teams are in now but that can change by the end of the season and that's not taking into account how the ping pong balls bounce.

Right now mocks are nothing more than a gauge to measure how players are considered. Mocks won't take eam need into consderation till probably 2 weeks before the draft prior to that who's in, who's not, who had a good workout, things shift too much to address team need.
yeah i liek the first 6 as i think all of them will help the team thanks schilly who are those new uniforms coming? :p

Uh, I know.

I'm saying, if team needs 'are' taken into account, it'd throw the whole thing off.
Thanks for doing this, Schilly. I don't understand why you take the most popular spot, though, for each player, rather than taking an average position. Foye is a clear example where two strange/old/whatever rankings renders his spot almost meaningless in your list.

I'm not a huge Foye fan, and I don't care one way or the other about him, but I wanted to comment on the list generally.

Actully, I take the most popular player for each spot.

The averages are pretty hard to do the way I have it set up as if a player is not on all of the mocks then an average isn't returned. As of now the averages only return the top 15.

1: Aldridge, Lamarcus 2.25
2: Morrison, Adam 2.75
3: Bargnani, Andrea 3.75
4: Gay, Rudy 3.75
5: Roy, Brandon 7.75
6: Carney, Rodney 9
7: Reddick, J.J. 9.5
8: Williams, Shelden 9.75
9: Brewer, Ronnie 10
10: Collins, Mardy 12
11: Foye, Randy 13
12: Williams, Marcus 19
13: Armstrong, Hilton 20.25
14: Ager, Maurice 21.5
15: Millsap, Paul 25.75

but you will notice that Tyrus Thomas, Joakim Noah, Josh McRoberts and Tiago Splitter are all absent. The reason I do it this way is to account for tardiness in updates. of the 7, 4 are kept updated really well 2 are reasonable and one I am considering dropping.

If anyone else Knows of any good mocks, let me know, I also could handle having a couple members, who are real comfortable with their draft knowledge, add to it.
