NBA because i enjoy knowing everyone and regardless of quality i can see/read 30 teams playing 82 games a year with relative ease.

also i think the USA's best are better than other coutries best and NBA showcases local talent better

FIBA plays the system basketball.NBA is more entertaining
Depends, do you enjoy watching a bunch of dunks and highlight passes, IE: Phoenix

Or do you enjoy watching fundamentals and a pretty mental game being played, IE: San Antonio.

LOL.... so basically Fiba is the same as an nba team, but the nba also has more exciting teams?

in response to the actual question... the NBA ..... and its nothing even resembling being close.

If I wanted to watch jump shot after jump shot I could do it at the local gym.

NBA by a bit, but FIBA is still pretty entertaining when its international games.

Yes, athletes. Track&field events also have athletes. I prefer team sport, that is basketball supposed to be, so European basketball (not namely FIBA but ULEB Euroleague more) is what I choose rather than individual selfish NBA game (with exceptions of course).
This isn't even close. NBA by a long shot. I can't remember the last time I watched a whole FIBA or EURO League game through, and it's probably because I never have.
NBA circus is more entertaining to watch-dunks, selfish players who care only about their own stats. Euroleague-team basketball.
This is an NBA board, what do you think the answer is going to be?

If you understand the game, the answer is not the NBA. If you are a casual fan and like the dunks or whatever, you will say the NBA.

How about the ones with the better basketball players? Basketball players are better to watch than athletes.

You really think that? That people who prefer the NBA don't understand the game of basketball?

and you really think that the international game has better basketball players than the NBA?

That's why I chose NBA, I like better basketball players. There's a reason the scrubs from the NBA have to go over to Europe.
FIBA and the NCAA really need to extend their 3 point line a few feet back, all teams do is chuck 3's nowadays. Watching West Virginia play, for example, makes me sick to my stomach. The percentages are way too high, it reduces the need for post players. No wonder most everyone is perimeter oriented over there.

Yeah like here in Belgium league you see centers standing at the 3 point line and stuff like that instead of staying in the post.
The same people who complain about the 3 pointer in college basketball seem to love it in International ball. If guys were shooting from the NBA pro line, International ball would look much different.
Well the athletes in the NBA are really incredible. I mean just look what the _daily_ top ten look like

On the other hand I hate how they don't call travelling in the NBA. Really hard to bear :(
What's with the assumption that NBA automatically = selfish non team play? Some of the coaches in the NBA have some very interesting and sophisticated strategies used to win ball games.

It also has to do with the type of players on the court. If you had someone like Kobe or AI, you'd be foolish not to use him more.

Speaking of Kobe, take a look at the triangle offense (not executed well this season thoough), take a look at the Kings Princeton offense, Pistons, NJN- still most teams in the NBA do play as a team very well, both on defense and offense. The whole FIBA or Euroleague having better team play is a misconception- just because a team focuses their offense on one or two players doesn't make it a not a team game. It's a team game with a different strategy.
