Mr.Big Shot is too Full of Himself

I feel Billups is getting too much hype. He is a good player, but how many teams did he fail on before landing on the pistons?

Billups teammates have a lot to do with how good he is.

All the hype is getting to his head. I want a Kidd vs. Billups playoff matchup to see Kidd bring that guy back down to earth.

Maybe Billups will say that he's "the Best point guard in the NBA" ala Stephon?

Chauncey is definately enjoying the attention he's getting undoubtably but he is partially right. Kidd is a magician compared to Billups as far as passing is concerned but Chauncey definately has Kidd in the shooting dept. The better total package? I'm taking the homer pick and saying Kidd because of his D but Billups is no slacker either. It'll definately be a nice matchup in the ECF thats for sure. Kidd always takes quotes like this as a personal challenge.

You don't have to be a homer to know that Kidd is better than Billups in terms of do-it-all. Okay Billups is probably having a better season but that's it.

Kidd has better court vision, has proven he can run an offense better.
Chauncey Billups is easily a better scorer, hits the clutch three better than most in the L.
Kidd is a better defender, I agree... but it is a narrow margin.

I think its closer than you think. Kidd is better, he's a HoFer... But Chauncey Billups has confidence in his game, in his teammates, in everything... thats what makes him so dangerous and why he's able to lead the Pistons deep into the Finals... he honestly believes he can do everything, which helps him to actually pull it off most of the time.

Can do everything? As in missing a potentially game-tying shot with 10 seconds left in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, and then being benched in the last possesion because of his mediocre defense? Talk about being clutch!

Never liked the guy, and like someone mentioned, he is only getting attention b/c of the rest of his team.

He reminds me alot of Starburied as in the way they play, their decision making and now...being full of himself.

once they start talkin like this is when they usually start their downfall...expect "big shot" chauncey to choke in the playoffs...

jkidd always lets his play speak for itself...

I think Billups is simply confident and nothing more.

He didn't say he's the best all-around guard or the best guard in the league. He just said he didn't think there is anyone in the league who brings the same kind of things he brings to the table. Which is very arguable.

There are guys who do things better than he does them, which he acknowledges. There are guys who are better than him, which I'm sure he knows. But that isn't what he's talking about and probably not what he was asked.

Kidd's licking his chops for this matchup. When boys talk too much, Kidd will pull their pants off. He lets his play do the talking. It's all nice nice now, Kidd usually won't give up too much bulletin board material, instead lets the game talk. Billups, Marbury they got to use their mouth for people to pay attention. It will nice matchup.
