NO would never do that trade. Using the 'greater than/less than' system...

Damon <<< Davis
SAR > Brown
Patterson <<< Mashburn
Woods < Smith

The only reason they might consider it would be for cap space. But, they have no reason to blow up the team. Sure, Baron would like a trade, but he's under contract and has no leverage.

If New Orleans were actually a place FAs wanted to go to, a tweaking of this deal actually wouldn't be so awful for them. They keep Smith, you keep Patterson, you send an additional young player or pick or something like that. They'd stink bad this year, but they'd be some $20 million-ish under the cap after this year and have several pieces of young talent in place. Odds are heavily against them making the playoffs this season or any season soon in the west with their current roster, so maybe they should just rebuild from scratch. This trade would be a giant step towards that goal.

However, as I first pointed out, I can't imagine the Hornets are a team that people would flock to in free agency. They have a reputation as a very poorly run franchise, one so bad that their fans basically got them run out of Charlotte.

Besides all of that, it just isn't that realistic. I know most fantasy trades aren't based on anything, but I can't picture any team ever sending out almost their entire core for essentially expiring contracts in a single trade.
