NBA refs are terrible.

I tried to respect them but they haven't earned it. Dan Crawford, in this last Laker game singlehandedly won the game for the Cleveland Cavaliers, by not giving Kobe Bryant the free-throws he worked so hard to earn. Total BS. What people don't understand is, the no call on the offensive end affects them defensively, as Kobe is left shaken by the call which results in Flip Murray going for layup after layup since he realizes there are only four Lakers upcourt. Then Kobe gets a clean swipe on Flip, but he gets the whistle. I'm thinking about writing the NBA office in protest of the refs making themselves bigger than the game. All they have to do is call it right and they can't even do that

Bad officiating has always been a part and always will be a part of the game, because these refs are not robots and I am sure Kobe and his Lakers have had thier fair share of bad calls go their way.

Not when one of those calls DECIDES the game, especially through drastic inconsistency. Get the hell out of here.

I've seen games called to decide games way worse than that.

And those are just as bad. BTW, I am having a hard time uploading that NBA on NBC file. I got it through limewire. How do I upload it onto yousendit ?
Refs will miss calls, their humans....but in games like some calls are just obvious and they dont blow a whistle, it just hurts the overall quality of the game and as a fan even if you're team is getting away with calls it just makes it unbearable to watch

Go to yousendit.com, you don't need to fill anything in, just hit browse. Find the folder where the file is in, click the file, and hit "send it." It will take a minute to upload then give you a link to copy and paste either onto here or you can email to me.

Even if you're a Laker fan or not, you would have to agree that if this kind of officiating continues...it has to be stopped. Because one way or another, if these type of actions are overlooked then the same worst officiating may be called on everyone's favorite team....again it hurts the game and the NBA loses its credibility to provide a accurate and in the process loses its wholesome atmosphere for its fanbase.
Boo-hoo.
What I'm doing is sending an e-mail to the league; here is the url to do that
http://www.nba.com/webAction?action.../email_us/email_form_041027.jsp&surveyId=1152

And here is what I wrote to them.

The refs are human of course but what Dan Crawford did to the Los Angeles Lakers wasn't. Singlehandedly he assisted the Cavaliers in beating the Lakers by offering an unfair advantage due to the power the boys in black wield over the game's outcome.

At first he was calling touch fouls on the Cavs, to help build the lead to 15. Then for some reason he lets all contact on Kobe Bryant go who was being fouled repeatedly around the basket, in the mere interest of a close game, so it can be marketed as a "thriller" on nba.com. This facade is useless and is only killing the game in the long run. As I like to say, a visible ref is never a good one. Please fix this problem before I punch a hole through the wall.

It's been like this since the dawn of time.

Thats harsh lol but I agree...The whole entire baord can send them an e-mail about todays game.

They dont give a crap about opinions..bottom line.
I just wish officials could be held to some standard, and be held accountable. The "they're only human" reasoning can only take you so far. It's dissappointing to me that officials can walk out of the arena today after that pitiful display and have no action taken against them. It's discouraging that fans can pin their hopes on a whole season for their favorite team, and their team can be beaten by officials who suffer no consequence for lobsided officiating. I feel bad for players who want to win so bad, but can be robbed of their freedom on the court because they're at the mercy of officials who can do what they want without the league pointing the finger at them.

Sounds epic lol

but its the damn truth.
I look forward to Phil speaking publicly about this very soon. I've played in many games with terrible refs and even though it all comes down to how you play, I'd rather have a ref call every single touch a foul, instead of going through swings, of sometimes something is a foul but other times it isn't.

I think their was one real obvious was when Kobe got trapped he got mugged. The other ones I thought they were real good defense. But that one they missed big time.

Refs suck, it's no big secret. They all have their favorites and guys they hate. And if you complain, you get fined $25,000 for criticizing officials or in severe cases, $50,000 for degrading officials, which is what George Karl got last year. The funny thing is that it's not all the refs fault. They got their orders from Stern and Stu Jackson. Although refs **** up a lot, Stern is mostly the blame because he hasn't done **** in 21 years.
I will say this NBA refs will go in favor of the more aggresive team 9 out of 10 times. I've moaned about how refs favor Detroit over the last few years and it is because they are aggresive.

Another example in today's game is when the Lakers were more aggresive and extended there lead back, all the questionable calls went in there favor. On the reverse when the Cavs became aggresive and the Lakers settled for jumpshots, the call went for the Cavs
Another thing was the mood swing of the crowd. The refs get caught up in the moment. If Lakers would have played smarter basketball, the fans would have lost all hope. But once the fans started going crazy. Games become a different and unpredictable animal. That is another thing about winning games, taking the fans out the game.
