Opening Tip

Tim: They have a shot at catching the Heat for the no. 2 seed, even though they've played nobody down the stretch. Doesn't think they can beat the Heat.

Greg: No gaurentee Heat can be healthy, Nets are a better team. They can't win a game 7 at NJ. Better hold on no 2. seed.

Stephen A: "Mets" (yes he said mets) can't beat Heat. Looks at Krstic and Collins. Game slows down in Playoffs, and Shaq and DWade will beat Nets.

Greg: You drinkin' too much Shaq-ade. Shaq doesn't intimidate NJ. NJ has more talent, commitment, confidence.

Stephen A: They have more talent, they belieeeevvee, but that has no affect on reality.

Greg: They better start playing defense.

Stephen A: They should kick you out of South Beach.

Saunders: So the New York Mets can't beat the Heat, what about the Jets?

Stephen A: Oh, let's not go there.

Greg: What about the New Jersey Devils?

LMAO at Stephen A. Smith. Talk about distorted reality.

I think I have a conclusion.

Stephen A. Smith is retarded. Terrets Syndrome perhaps? That would explain the yelling and all the garbage that comes out of his mouth.
I won't cross the line to agreeing with Stephen A, but alot of Greg Anthony's points were retarded. Greg Anthony loves the "flavor of the month", he jumps across bandwagons like no other...and as good as the Nets are, if they slip up soon, he'll jump back to the Heat/Pistons/Cavs/Wizards/Pacers

Says the heat fan
I find it really odd that the more the Nets win, the more hate comes along with it

It must feel really great having your own personal cheerleader in Stephen A. Smith.

No they've been getting a lot of recognition during this winning streak but there are always those stubborn ****s that still doubt & reject the possibility that the Nets can be potentially dangerous to upset Miami and/or Detroit.

can i just say something, what have the Heat done, or more importantly, WHO have they beaten this season? Detroit, by 2 points (D. Wade scores 17 consecutive points in the end game). New Jersey, by 1 (D. Wade sent to line on phantom foul called on Richard Jefferson to score game winning points). That basically consists of all the division leading teams in the nba you have beaten (2-12 overall). Heat fans keep crying about injury, chemistry, etc. BUT one question, if the heat cant stay healthy ALL SEASON, how can they do it in a playoff series when there is so much more aggressive/physical play? Finally, the heat play absolutely no effective form of perimeter defense since the departure of Eddie Jones. In fact, this season, vince carter is averaging 38.5 points A GAME against the Heat. You keep saying we have no answer for shaq, but guess what, he is only averaging 18.5 points and 9 rebounds against the nets. The concern should lie with YOUR TEAM, since you obviously have no answer for carter, or jason kidd and richard jefferson for that matter.

Heat are something like 2/11 against the top teams (Spurs, Nets, Pistons, MAvs, etc)...interesting stat...
I can handle people giving their predictions when they give some kind of stat or somthing. Steven A. Smith sucks on all topics. Rarely does he ever make an arguments with facts or some kind of reasoning to back it up. He basiclly yells and says somthing like so and so is the best player in the league because they are. Or the heat will beat the nets and thats just that and i wont give any kind of substance to my arguments. I would like him to explain how he believes the nets only have 3 players so they wont do anything. (even tho they have 4 starters who can put up good numbers, and cliff has been great off the bench) but meanwhile the heat have 2 players who put up numbers and no one else. Im sorry but the heats bench is just as bad as the nets, only difference is the heat have antoine walker who chucks horrible shots. The heat were 10x better last year in my eyes with both Jones. Now they lack a good defender who can also put up points to stick on VC or RJ in Eddie Jones, they lack a really dangerous outside shooter who killed up last year in Damon Jones. YOu can say how bad the Nets match up against shaq on De this year but now who on their team can keep VC and RJ in check, no one that i see. Posey couldnt do it, they claimed shandon anderson would, he didnt. So now you stick wade on one of them and the other is going to score.

I don't find that odd.
Stephen A Smith is such a shaq rider. Shaq can avg 2 points and 2 reb in a season and smith will still say shaq is still the most dominant center in nba.

Even tho I agree with Greg, you are right. Before the win streak, Greg Anthony would've said we would've gotten swept if we played Miami. I'm pretty sure he picked us as a favorite to lose in the first round b4 the streak. All of a sudden, Greg says that Krstic can become an 'elite' big man, if you asked about him before the streak, he woulda said he was a soft, mediocre player that just had one good series.

Greg is just like the rest of the media, hopping on and off the bandwagon. Just wait if Miami can win a couple of good games from now til if we play in the playoffs, we'll be the heavy underdogs again.

2-12 against NBA elite. Heat simply cannot beat good teams and Nets will beat them in a short series.

Enjoy the $100M contract.

How this flavor taste: Nets 3, Heat 1.

Heat record against teams under .500: 31-6.

Heat record against teams over .500: 18-20.

Heat record against divison leaders: 2-12.

Does that sound like a championship team?
Later on they were talkin about the Mavs and Spurs

Stephen A.: So you really think the Mavs have any chance to beat the Spurs?

Greg: I said yes.

Stephen A.: You said I think so.

Greg: Well it's good to think before you speak.

Stephen A. has been behind Shaq every year since he's been on ESPN, even after the Lakers were beaten in a 5-game sweep in the Finals, he doesn't believe that Shaq can be beat. Even after the Heat lost game 7 of the ECF, he still doesn't think that Shaq can be beat. We went 3-1, which basically would have been 4-0 against the Heat this season and he still believes Shaq can't be beat. It's still in his head that Shaq's the most "dahhh-minintt playaa in the game."

Just to add - he was hating on Fabricio Oberto, calling him a no-name. He was part of the Argentinian national team that kicked the **** outta our team in the Olympics. He just wanted to say he's not even "Rasho Nesterovic." He's got no new material but he's standing by what he believes. Some respect but highly disliking him right now.
