No time to figure this out for our conference, but this article has calculated payouts.

Found this thread and the assumption in the thread is off but the units look right:
http://www.basketballforum.com/atlantic-10-conference/482378-atlantic-10-ncaa-units-9.html

Atlantic 10 Units
2007: 3 (Xavier 2, Geo. Wash. 1)
2008: 6 (Xavier 4, Temple 1, St. Joe's 1)
2009: 6 (Xavier 3, Dayton 2, Temple 1)
2010: 5 (Xavier 3, Temple 1, Rich. 1)
2011: 6 (Rich. 3, Temple 2, Xavier 1)
2012: 7 (Xavier 3, SLU 2, St. Bona. 1, Temple 1)

http://www.masslive.com/umassbasketb...n_ncaa_to.html
Will add and please correct if off:
2013: 12 (LaSalle 4, SLU 2, Butler 2, Temple 2, VCU 2)

So that is 42 units for this year back 5 more years and 24 being from departing members.

This year, the NCAA will pay each conference $250,106 per game that its teams played in the tournament from 2008 to 2013. Next year, when the distribution from this season is included, units will be worth $255,379.

The NCAA says units paid out in 2016 and 2017 have already been calculated at $260,525 and $265,791, respectively. That puts the projection of the total value of units earned in this year's tournament at close to $1.6 million. Units earned from this tournament will be paid in mid-April from 2015 to 2020.

2014: 10 (Dayton 4, Saint Louis 2, St Joe's 1, VCU 1, UMass 1, GW 1)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Total 52 with 39 current and 23 departed members.

42 * $250,106 = 10,504,452
10 * $255,379 = 2,553,790
------------------------------------------------------------------
$13,058,242

So if evenly divided 1 mill each.
Obviously teams earning credits receive more and team not earning receive less.

Don't know if this is approximately correct by will post it so it can be validated/correct.
2/3 pool earning credits 9 teams (St. Joes, Dayton, Richmond, SLU, Bonnies, LaSalle, VCU, GW and UMass)

1/3 pool not earning credits 4 teams (URI, Fordham, G. Mason, and Dukes)

I believe it is 75-25% split and it's on a by team bases like for 2013-14 Dayton gets 75% of the 4 units they earned, SLU 75% of their 2 units and so on. The remaining money (25%) is split between the 7 teams that didn't make it.

I think the units left behind will be split evenly for the remaining teams, I don't think there has been any word on how they will be distributed

You've got seven years listed and it's a rolling six-year period.

So in 2014 (not sure when they send the checks? Maybe July 1?), the A-10 would get the first six years (42 units at $250,106 = $10,504,452)

And in 2015, we'd get 2009-2014 payments (46 units at $255,379 = $11,747,434)

From this year's payments (2008-2013 earnings)…

28.5 units from former members go into the general pool for everyone ($7,128,021), which is $548,309 per school (that includes 25% of the 18 units earned by the schools below)

LaSalle 4 (75% = $750,318) + $548,309 = $1,298,627
Richmond 4 (75% = $750,318) + $548,309 = $1,298,627
St Louis 4 (75% = $750,318) + $548,309 = $1,298,627
VCU 2 (75% = $375,159) + $548,309 = $923,468
Dayton 2 (75% = $375,159) + $548,309 = $923,468
St. Bona. 1 ($187,579.50) + $548,309 = $735,888.50
St. Joe's 1 ($187,579.50) + $548,309 = $735,888.50
Duquesne = $548,309
GMU = $548,309
GW = $548,309
Fordham = $548,309
UMass = $548,309
URI = $548,309

Next season payouts (if units are worth $255,379)

25% of 27 units by current = 25.75 units to the general fund ($6,576,009.25; or $469,714.95 to each of the 14 schools.

Dayton 6 (75% = $114,9205.5) + $469,714.95 = $1,618,920.45

of course, that assumes the conference office isn't taking a cut; and I'm sure they're deducting some for expenses of sending a rep to each NCAA site, etc.

Total 45 with 34 current and 11 departed members. 2011-2016

OK using jpsmack's numbers and please correct me, because I'm not 100% sure of the departed members credits go to the general fund and there are a few members entering later and gave them a full share to keep things simpler. Also Forbes said an NCAA credit was worth $250,106 in 2014, so figured the 255,379 would be close enough for 2016.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/chrissmith/2014/03/20/how-a-single-ncaa-tournament-win-is-worth-1-6-million/#429b03a332b0

45 units at $255,379 = $11,492,055

General fund the 11 plus 25% of 34 credits (2,809,169* + 2,170,721.5) = 4,979,890.5 divide by 14* teams = 355,706 each*

Code:
Richmond       3 (75% = 574,603) + 355,706 = $930,309
St. Louis    6 (75% = 1,149,204) + 355,706 = $1,504,910
St. Bonnies    1 (75% = 191,534) + 355,706 = $547,240
LaSalle       4 (75% = 766,137)  + 355,706 = $1,126,404
VCU          6 (75% = 1,149,204) + 355,706 = $1,504,910
Dayton       8 (75% = 1,532,274) + 355,706 = $1,887,980
St Joes     3 (75% = 574,603)    + 355,706 = $930,309
UMass       1 (75% = 191,534)    + 355,706 = $547,240
G'Dub       1 (75% = 191,534)    + 355,706 = $547,240
Davidson    1 (75% = 191,534)    + 355,706 = $547,240
Duquesne                                   = $355,706
Fordham                                    = $355,706
GMU                                        = $355,706
URI                                        = $355,706
*Note this is rough as GMU, VCU, Davidson probably do not get the departed member share factor in.

Used below link and then clicked on the teams to fill in 2015 and 2016.

JP, is this correct? I calculate that to date Dayton has accrued 8 units beginning with 2014.

Units by year:
2009 - 1
2014 - 4

2014 -4
2015 - 3

2014 - 4
2015 -3
2016 - 1

2014 -4
2015 -3
2016 - 1
2017 ?

2014 -4
2015 - 3
2016 - 1
2017 - ?
2018 - ?

2014 -4
2015 - 3
2016 - 1
2017 ?
2018 ?
2019 ?

If I am correct, UD will get paid 75% of 8 units at a minimum through 2019 plus any league shared units that it may be eligible to receive. Assuming that UD plays one tournament game in '17, 18 and '19, the payout would increase to 11 units in 2019.

The irony is that the teams that really need the money in order to fire their shitty coaches aren't getting enough because their shitty coaches didn't earn the conference any money.
Yeah, these numbers don't look so big when you remember Mason paid Hewitt $700,000 to go away. And that was peanuts compared to what UMass needs.
