3 6 loss teams in the polls? Really? Wisconsin only drops 3 spots for losing to NORTHWESTERN? Kansas jumped up 8 spots for beating Texas Tech? Oh well nice to see SIU up there FINALLY

I'm just wondering how Kentucky is above Texas. They've lost to Georgia and Vanderbilt both unranked teams and the only ranked team they lost too is Louisville? Texas has only lost to Arizona, #1(depending on which poll you look at) Duke, and OSU.

Oh well its just a poll.... Guess its just motivation to make them look like OU if meet in the tournament :D

RPI and SOS has something to do with it. Look at how many ranked teams KY HAS beaten.

Well... LAST WEEK we beat #21 Florida followed by #24 South Carolina.

Previously we beat (then ranked) #24 Miss St (now ranked #6), #21 Vanderbilt (who just left the top 25 THIS WEEK), #9 North Carolina, #20 Michigan State

Kentucky has a #3 RPI vs Texas 17.

Really there is not much difference in the #8 - #11 spots at this point...

Kansas layed a turd tonight.....but has Illinois ever played in Gallagher-Iba? Trust me when I say it's one of the five best/most intimidating arenas in basketball. Moreover, OSU is flat-out good this year. Eddie Sutton is a coach of the year candidate in my book.

And personally I don't have much problem with UK only beating a few teams by a slim margin....true, that doesn't exactly denote pure dominance, but it does show a reapeated ability to hang on and finish in the clutch, which is a huge hallmark of successful tournament teams. UK is deserving of their ranking, IMO.

And I think with a win or two this next week, Illinois should surely be in the top 25.

I dont believe they have played there.. Surely it was tough for Kansas.. But still ;)

Illinois only plays one game this week until next Monday.. If they can beat Michigan State tonight I would think they'd be 23-25 this coming week.. 16-5 and 7-3 (Same with Mich State) in the Big Ten (Wisconsin is 6-2) wouldn't look all that bad.. I can hope..

I'm not .. Ok so if we somehow win tonight would that move us up 5 spots and then if we beat Wisconsin next week would that move us up another 5? Hmm.. Doubt it.. Biased AP Polls

Food for thought (an obvious but glaring fact):

Texas Tech blew out OSU by 20 points. Kansas blew out Texas Tech by 20 points. OSU blew out Kansas by 20 points.

What's the one constant in all these games? The winning team was at home.

Arizona gets way too much respect in the polls. Every year they lose a game and barely drop in the rankings. Where is the rest of the Pac-10 this year? Oregon deserves to be at least mentioned in the top 64. At least Gonzaga is getting respect.

It took long enough. I'm just wondering where they find all the cold white boys year in and year out?

We will get our respect if we sweep the WA schools this week then the AZ schools the next.
